this girl who i have developed some feelings for called me her best friend over text when ranting to me about how annoying this girl was being. he exact context was “i’m only telling you this since your my best friend” like in the middle of the paragraph where she was ranting.

she is single and never mentions actually liking any guys, she tells me all the guys just want her for sex etc stuff like that.

guys am i in the friendzone she often contacts me for things that make no sense, just to talk to me.

the weirdest thing about all of this is that she lies to me and says she is still a virgin even though i never ask

It takes a long time of thinking, a long time but eventually it just flips like a switch. You'll think and think and one of these days you're going to say "Why am I chasing this chick that bullshits about being a virgin?".. I don't know, it's not healthy to shame people or insinuate but it's there and it is what it is.

So why don't you say "Yeah I'll be your friend but I want you to know I've liked you for a long while." screw it, don't overdo it make it as virtually simple as that and allow them to come back with the dialogue. When you prioritize on the dialogue you're the one pushing.

If you like her, you should tell her. It's obvious why you wouldn't want to, but that's your best way of getting a definite answer from her. And besides, you got nothing to lose if you don't want to be just friends anyway. Worst case scenario, you guys stop talking. Best, she'll miss you and realize she wants you back in her life.
