What do guys actually think of mysterious girls?

I don't want "mystery". I want to know exactly what I'm getting into. I think this is yet another case of women projecting what they find attractive in men, onto men, and assuming that they must find the same things attractive in women.

It's like for any girl who wants to be desired more for her personality than the body but favors a mysterious vibe, why make your personality more of a mystery and try to attract guys based on hiding the part you want them to desire?

I'm one of those who actually deeply interested in personality. Hot girls started to seem like a dime a dozen. I became bored with ones who only appealed to me based on that quality. Yet as someone who shifted focus more to personality over her looks, how am I supposed to be interested in a girl in the first place to even be bothered to learn more about her personality if she's all mysterious or shy and hiding her personality? To me being shy or mysterious is a good way to attract guys who aren't interested in personality.
