as long as you spend your own money that you worked hard to earn and have a good attitude, i don't see why you should give a fuck about anyone's judgements. i like to dress nicely too. i don't have the money to always dress in designer, but i have a few designer items that i buy after i save up my money. people think i am shallow and superficial, and i tell them i didn't ask their mother to pay for my stuff, so they can suck it. you only live once, so live how you want to. as long as you are a good person and modest, it does not matter that others judge you.

gold-digging? some men forget that in today's society, it is not just them hauling the bread to the table. we don't need daddy's money. we can make our own. i feel sorry for you that you associate class and elegance and being nicely dressed with "high maintenance" and arrogance. perhaps wearing a garbage bag will reinforce one's modesty? as long as she does not ask you to fund her expensive taste, why do you care? if she worked her ass off to get a high-paying job, what should she do with all of her money after saving, investing, and donating some of it? put it on a bookshelf?
