Well it wasn’t a rejection but I gave her a simple gift out of kindness & she went mad (& made a huge deal out of it) and told someone how pathetic it was and proceed to get mad/angry with me for weeks afterwards. She would act like I don’t exist & glares at me from afar but at the same time, she’d yell at me for looking & paying attention to other people but her.
However, she started acting all nice & friendly towards me a month later like nothing happened.
I felt hurt by her action/words but I remained courteous towards her but kept my distance & just emotionally closed off. So what I’m trying to ask is why would a person act like this?

I forgot to mentioned that prior to the incident there was a whole lot of staring/glancing from her and she’d make it so obvious by not looking away & never smiles and she still does it even to this day. She does act hot/cold towards me so sometimes I’d make conversations with her & she’d give me short replies & walks away like she’s busy then other times, she’ll try to joke around & get physically close to me.
