Would you generally not text him?
Tell him small details about your life and what you've been up to?
Try and make him laugh?

Any advice for what signs I should be looking for from a younger woman who isn't flirty in the traditional sense?

Older guys I have been with have been super confident and just told me what they want. It makes it very easy without all the games, and the confidence makes me like guys I otherwise wouldn't have noticed.
