Do any of you martial arts girls spar or compete against guys?

When I tell people that I often spar and sometimes compete against guys, they basically don’t believe me - is it really that uncommon? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know there are no official regional or national competitions where girls and guys compete against one another, but at club level I would have thought this might be fairly common? 🤔 So do any of you girls have experience of sparring or competing against guys? Wow! You must be good. Even against guys that are bigger and stronger then you? Like I have seen some of the teen boys at my club and they are very strong and big and they seem like they are invincible because hitting them doesn't seem to cause them any pain unless they are hit in the head and ko'd but I don't even think I could reach there heads because I'm quite short compared to them

Aww thanks ☺️ yeah, where I train girls do spar and compete against guys, even when they are bigger and stronger - usually higher ranked girls take on lower ranked guys to compensate for those physical differences, but I am at a level where I can take on any guy! 🙋🏼‍♀️ They might be strong and big, but sometimes their arrogance means they underestimate girls - and I guess you just have to hit them really hard in all the right places to cause them real pain 😉 fortunately I have very strong and flexible legs, so I am able to reach head height with great speed, power and accuracy 💥 and anywhere else I wish to target my kicks. I use my arms mostly for defence - that works well for me 😌

Those are good points! I have not seen a mixed gender fight myself though. Even with hard hits I really can't see a girl beating a guy like they are just stronger and seem to be able to withstand hard hits no? Like when my brother play fights with me we only punch because we both train in boxing but when I punch his abs he doesn't even flinch or seem to feel pain I've never been able to get him to fall or double over even from my hardest punch and with gloves on he can take a solid punch to the face to.. I just can't imagine a way of beating him at boxing because he just seems to have no weakness as a guy. Must be all the testosterone flowing through him!

He is also much taller theme to like I only have an advantage while he's got his back against the ropes because i can put my shoulder into his lower chest and uppercut his abdomen and he can't block then but still it doesn't seem to hurt him lol maybe I should try punching his thigh or something lmao maybe that will hurt him

Well mixed gender fights are uncommon - they are mostly held at club level. I think when it comes to punches you are mostly right - unless it’s a really good hit, guys tend not to be hurt too badly by them. Girls have natural strength, power and flexibility in their legs though - and that’s what I use mostly for my strikes, and why kickboxing is better for mixed gender sparring and competition fights. Well yes, guys do get their strength and aggression from testosterone, but that’s funny because that can also be by far their biggest “weakness” 😉 and it’s those weaknesses you have to target the most and the hardest! When your brother has his back to the ropes and you have your shoulder against his chest and are punching his abdomen area - if you punch (or kick) a little lower, you might have more success! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Hmmm I have tried to do kickboxing before but I have broken my knee before while skateboarding so I can't kick very well :( I can punch really hard though if I try! I just need it to land on an effective target and he has a lot of muscle protecting him all over really besides his face but then he is so tall and I am so short I can't even reach his face very well because he just leans backwards! What do you mean testosterone is also there biggest weakness? Height and strength from it seems to be quite an advantage? What do you mean if I punch lower I might have more success? Punch his lower abdomen or even lower and punch his thigh really hard? 😂 I would love to learn a new technique to beat him and have him on the floor because he is really cocky that he beats me all the time and it is infuriating

I’m sorry to hear about your knee 😬 well I think being able to kick gives a greater advantage to girls generally, because guys are often stronger in their upper bodies and girls in their legs, but boxing is still good, especially if you can punch really hard! If you need an effective target - when I spar and compete with guys, I mainly target the head and the groin areas with my kicks. No matter how strong and muscular a guy is, his head and groin remain his biggest weaknesses - and of course if your opponent is very tall, then strikes to the head may be difficult, and so maybe not go for that so much 🤷🏼‍♀️ I mean that’s what he would expect you to do anyway, which is why guys raise their hands to protect their face. Well testosterone gives guys their strengths in terms of size, strength and aggression etc, yes 👍 but it is their testicles that produces that testosterone, and they are by far a guy’s greatest weakness! 😉 Oh, by punch lower below the abdomen I mean punch to the groin area - again, the groin and head are the best areas to target your strikes for success if you can. I think if you try to target those two areas - with kicks would be best, but your hardest possible punches will work too 👍 then you will definitely have him on the floor if you land that one perfect shot 🙋🏼‍♀️ and I hope you do because I don’t like cocky guys!

But I was told by our mother to never punch him in that area? My family is very religious (muslim) and they do not tell me why but they just tell me to not hit him in that area because I could stop him from having children! Is that true? Could I really stop my brother from having children just from one punch in that area? I don't really know much about it because I did not get taught it in my country! So if I punch him in his groin you think it will hurt him? How bad does it hurt boys? What do I aim for because i have not seen a boys anatomy exposed but I have seen the "bulge" area at the front when he changes into his boxers and is just in his briefs and there looks like there are multiple things being held in his briefs..

Many people say not to strike a guy’s groin area and that it could stop them having kids, because a guy’s testicles are really sensitive - but even the hardest possible run up kick to a guy’s balls is unlikely to cause enough damage to stop him having kids 🤷🏼‍♀️ yes, it’s possible, just very unlikely. I mean strikes to the head can be dangerous, but no one says not to do that! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Do not worry about punching, kneeing or kicking any guy in the balls - in truth kicking a guy in the balls is really empowering 🙋🏼‍♀️ it is devastating to a guy and it is so funny to see their facial expressions and their rolling around in agony when you land a really good, hard strike straight up into their balls! 😂 In answer to your questions - yes, punching any guy in the groin will hurt him, badly 😫😭 it is devastatingly painful for a guy if you land the strike just right - so you need to aim your strike straight up between his legs, because his testicles are just dangling freely between his legs and you need to strike straight up into his balls (that “bulge” you see) - and always do it as hard as you possibly can every time! 😈 I’m surprised you have never done this - you don’t know what you’re missing out on! 😂

I have never punched him in that area because I was told early to never ever do that but now that you tell me this... next time I spare with him and he is being to rough and cocky I could put my head down and push him against the ropes with my shoulder and then while he is stuck there I could throw my hardest punches right up into his testicles! Too many people warn not to hit guys in the groin when really there is nothing to worry about - I’ve kicked many guys my absolute hardest and, to my knowledge, the worst they’ve suffered is severe agony, bruising and swelling - no permanent damage though! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Yes, punch his balls your absolute hardest - don’t worry about it, you’ll win for sure! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Just make sure to hit his balls when you get a clear shot, otherwise he might be able to block your strike and then he’ll get all defensive of his groin area - so be sure to smash his balls only when it’s a clear and open shot! If you hit his testicles really hard you will beat him, yes 🙋🏼‍♀️ but don’t let his reaction shock you - he will likely scream out in shock first 😧 and then fall immediately to the ground rolling around holding his balls and moaning and screaming out in agony 😫😭 but seriously, he’ll be fine - it’s just the shock and pain of being hit in the balls 🤷🏼‍♀️ so you can laugh at him and enjoy your win. Yeah, just imagine 2 small eggs in a sock dangling between his legs 😂 they are super sensitive and if you kick, knee or punch straight up into them you’ll win for sure. Yes, hitting a guy in the balls is an easy and guaranteed win 🙋🏼‍♀️ it happens all the time where I train in a form of kickboxing - guys act tough because of their size and strength (and that testosterone) 🙄 but one good, hard strike to their balls and they’re down. Wow you have kicked boys in there testicles as hard as you can before? Do you feel anything when you kick them three? I will get a clear shot because he won't expect it and if I have my shoulder into his abdomen while he's against the ropes his arms get stuck above my back and he can't block anything lower then where my shoulder is so I could land a really good punch or two on his testicles without him being able to do anything to stop me! He also does not wear any protection there against me because he knows that I was trained not to hit him there! That is so silly that they have those hanging there! 2 eggs in a sock? I’ve kicked many guys in the balls my absolute hardest before - and for some years I’ve trained in a form of kickboxing that allows it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I feel mostly empowered when I kick guys and it’s so funny to me 😂 it’s my favourite way to win fights against guys. Well yes, make sure his legs are open and just smash your fist straight up into his balls as hard as you possibly can - do not worry for his reaction, just enjoy his agony and your win 🙋🏼‍♀️ he’ll be fine.

@MelissaSmith7654321 lmao yeh I fought him again three times and every time he would start to win I would punch him in the balls really really hard and say it was an accident and he would drop and get angry but couldn't do anything because he was rolling on the mat in pain. I did it twice and both times he quit the match lmao. Our third and final spar together I think he was so afraid that I would do it again so he kept backing up and dropping his guard and leaning forward so I punched him in the nose so many times that I broke his nose and then to really show him but then he hit me in the boob really hard which pissed me off so I got him against the ropes in the corner and dug my left shoulder into his lower chest and just started punching repeatedly into his balls and he couldnt escape for like 10 seconds and he was trying to move out my my clinch and block my punches with his knees but his foot got stuck in the ring corner with the ropes so I landed a bunch of great shots right in his balls. He was screaming like a girl and trying to punch my back to get me to stop and was yelling stop and then he finally moved out of my clinch and just dropped to the floor and began crying and rolling on the mat but then he puked on the mat and himself which was so gross. He has quit boxing entirely since and he is to embarrassed to tell our mom why so she just thinks he is being a little pussy and now she is really proud of me for getting really good at boxing and she says he is scared to fight me but she doesn't know why lmao.

I love how you trapped him against the ropes in the comer where he couldn't escape for 10 seconds and used his nutsack as a punching bag! That's funny how he's too embarrassed to tell your mother. I always find it funny how guys spend all these hours in the gym building up these muscular bodies, and yet no matter how big or muscular they are, one little punch or kick to the balls, they go down crying like a baby. Maybe, if he's still trying to avoid boxing with you, you can ask him in front of his friends or girlfriend and if he says no you ask him, "Why? Are you too chicken to fight a little girl?" Boys have a big male ego, and I think he won't want to look weak in front of his friends
