I don't understand the obsession with blonde hair in western culture when many aren't even natural. I have never met a blonde obsessed man. Most like a medium to light skin with dark hair. Women sometimes go blonde to try a different style but the hair colour by itself gets you no advantage. You are not considered "superior" if you have blonde hair.
I compare this obsession of white men with Asian men's obsession with lighter skin as it's considered more youthful, girly, innocent etc. while darker Asian women are seen as sexy, masculine and sometimes even ugly (like you guys do to the brunettes). That's the only analogy that helps me understand white men's preference for blondes as I have literally never come across any person who was crazy about blonde hair. Some people may go for the exotic look (it is exotic for Asians like dark hair is exotic for most white people) but an overwhelming majority prefers dark hair which is the classic symbol of beauty.

Red hair is sexier! By a large margin. Even if its fake (sometimes better that way), or has that X-Files Agent Scully style... Any chick from 20 to 50 like that is goin right into the spank-bank.

What's odd is in school, even after high school, I was much less attracted to blondes than other colors. I was really choosy in who I was attracted to, I suppose. My first crush may have been Wendy from Wonder Years, even though I watched it waaayyy after my time lol. It may have set part of what I was attracted to.

I found as I got older, my attraction to other nationalities mostly decreased (except some middle east), where I mostly am attracted to Dutch, German, and Italian. My current partner is all three, and looks it.

Maybe there's gene play at work for what we're attracted to? Also note I'm a lesbian, if you want to count that towards anything.

Not everyone thinks the same, and not every blonde girl is the same.

If I am to judge purely by aesthetics, I personally think white brunettes look a little nicer. The contrast between their dark hair and light skin stands out a lot to me.
