what makes an asshole attractive to u. Is it the confidence or the nature of him being nonchalant or a bit of both?

While women say they want nice guys we all know assholes are what they chase after. So what is it that causes this

So, women don't chase after assholes. Women chase after confident men. Assholes are almost universally also incredibly confident, which is what makes them attractive.
Women aren't consciously choosing to go after an asshole because assholes usually don't show that side of themselves to women until later. Then the woman finds out his confidence is actually arrogance, and usually bails shortly after. Notice how assholes are rarely in long term relationships.

As for nice guys...
A guy who is nice, is what a woman is after.
A Nice Guy, or a guy who specifically claims to be a nice guy, is usually a creep who is only being nice because they think they will be rewarded with sex. Nice Guys are almost worse than assholes.

U though this myself, I am a nice person in general. But the primary reason why engage with women is not to be her friend, or to find some to be nice to.

Over time we might be friends, and developed into something more... but sex is tge prime motivation and bad guys are more honest about it. Which honestly isn't that bad.

And yeah, assholes tend to be more honest about it, which is why Nice Guys are worse.
An asshole will use you and leave. A Nice Guy will manipulate you into thinking he's a safe person to be around, the whole time plotting ways to get into your pants. It's gross, and I want nothing to do with it.
