sometimes. based on my friends and i, we all try and think of a reply and it ends up as us overthinking and we don’t want to come off as weird or not making any sense... so that kind of hold off on replying until we feel ready. that’s just my experience, not sure if it’s the same for others!

I'm sorry but no :/ I have never not answered a text because of being shy, or heard of any of my friends doing that. But that does not mean she doesn't like you, she may just not be good at texting back or on her phone too much.

sometimes. she may have not answered to see if you would double text her, to see if you actually want to talk to her and put the effort in. i know i have done that before where i wouldn't respond to a guy to see if he would double text me. this might not be relevant, but i know some of my friends will take double the time it took a guy to respond to them to text back, and sometimes even a day or two. some girls view this like a game which is messed up to say but its true sometimes. i say your safest bet if she hasn't responded to your last text is to wait a day or two then text her again a simple hey or how are you, to restart the conversation
