Do you remember small details about a conversation?

I was talking to a guy I like online and told him I'd be going to see a movie with friends later on in the night and a few says later when I saw him he asked me about the movie and he remembered the name and everything. I've heard if a guy likes you he'll remember small details or things that you've said to him could this be that?

I agree that if a guy likes you, he is more likely to remember small details in conversation.

The question is what counts as a small detail.

Normally, I wouldn't think that the name of a movie is a small detail. I guess it depends what else he remembered.

Also, I don't think it applies as much to online conversation. Rather, the best test is if the two of you are talking in person, and you mention some random details about yourself that isn't the main point of the conversation but he later remembers.

well I saw him a couple of days after the online conversation and when he bought it up I was surprised he remembered me telling him about it so my real idea about it is that he thought about what I had done and used that to have conversation with me, he didn't bring it up in an online conversation.

Hmm...well it's possible. You know the guy better than I do, and if he's normally the kind of person who remembers that kind of stuff. But regardless, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Need more evidence than that.

well yeah of course lol, but thanks for your honesty :) he's not usually the type to remember and there have been other clues otherwise I wouldn't even have asked this question :)

probably not, he could have just as easily scrolled up on the convo, drop in things like colors and birthdays and wait a few days to ask him about it. Color is easy, birthday is a toughy from time to time

it wasn't in the same convo it was a couple of days after. the movie thing is a bit vague I know but I took it as him thinking about what I had done between the time we'd spoken and when we were going to see each other, if you know what I mean

It depends. I have a pretty good memory for random details already, but I'm definitely more likely to consciously try to remember things when it involves someone I like.

I know I would remember things about a girl I like, no matter how small. Same question for ya, since this girl I like seems to remember things and conversations we had weeks ago. What you think?

I usually remember small details about the conversations I've had with the guys I like. Even for weeks, but then when I talk to by best guy friend sometimes I forget even what we talked about earlier in the day.

Yeah, I remember I made a joke she "didn't think was funny" and a few days later she brought it up and used it against me, I was like "wtf, you are so original" lol.

yeah I think that if you're interested you remember a lot more about them than what you would about any other person, so I would take it as a good sign :)

It varies depending on the person. Some people just have better memories, like me. I often have to pretend not to remember them because when I do, I come off as creepy.

i will remember small details from a conversation I have had wtih a crush from a long time a go, more so stuff that was just between us
