It's easy to say "I don't want to become an Amber Heard so i won't. But is that true? I don't know you, tell me.

The icing on this weird cake is that I turn away from violent scenes in movies (or up until the kill). Of course, I am curious to learn about the skill, so I watch a fair match up until the point I see injury about to be inflicted.

You don't just become an abuser of out no where. If you are one, you would already have a pattern of toxic/abusive behaviours and honestly you probably wouldn't care about doing them or see it as wrong to even ask such a question. You would see it as you been right and them been wrong.
Otherwise again you if saw and was aware of it been wrong you would of gone to therapy or tried to get help.

If you start something that could set off an abusive pattern like starting to drink alcohol a lot then one could become abusive for sure but again it's because of something. It don't happen out of nowhere and there would be a pattern there.

I generally think for something like that to happen, there has to be a strong lack of self-awareness, accountability, empathy, and maybe even very questionable morals that are easily blurred and corrupted. That seems very different and quite the opposite of what I know of you so far.

As for friendly teasing, provided that it remains friendly, I often think it serves the opposite effect of toxicity and abuse. I see that sort of friendly banter's potential purpose and goal as thickening up each other's skins so that if we encounter a stranger who does this, we are more likely to shrug it off or simply retort rather than to hold lasting grudges.
