Customer accusing of stealing?

Lady calls about her wallet left at the store to go find it

I tried to find it , came back to ask her what it looked like. She just said louis Vuitton... nothing more...

I saw a wallet with loui vuitton and thought it was hers. I told her its kept under the booth safe.

Apparently it wasn't hers... it was a coworkers

So this ordeal of her flipping out and accusing ME of stealing it. All i did was apologize for a mistake.

She for some reason denied looking at the security cameras...

The filed a police report

And the boss comes in bitching at me for something out of MY control..

Would be it bad if i just didn't show up after the meeting? I can't take being treated like shit anymore

Some people jump to the wrong conclusions. Some people you try to do something nice for and they do that.

Everyone else knows that you did not steal or it will come out. So don't worry about it.
