How do you feel when your classmate (not a friend) give a complement about you

I personally do not like compliments because most of them are not honest but are solely spoken because the one giving the compliment expects something from the one receiving them.

Usually, compliments are solely made with specific intentions. Ask yourself what the intention behind a compliment is. When men compliment girls, they do it in the hope to eventually get in their pants.

Have you ever heard someone speaking out a compliment about an achievement? They are so rare because they don't get the same expected results.

Thus, if someone speaks out a compliment, I do know that it is not really meant but that it only has a specific intention behind it.

Well, that might be the case in most of the people but I compliment on people's achievements as well. Sometimes, even if I know that I'm not gonna meet someone again, I want to compliment her too (but I don't cuz she might overreact or something) and want nothing in return. For example, if someone is looking a bit sad, but looking good, you might compliment to make her feel better. But, I fear, she might turn table on me.

That is the problem indeed. Because girls know that compliments are a way to want something, it may backfire on the one giving a true compliment.
