Change in behavior when talking irl?

So my female classmates I talk to on text, some being friends, others not, one thing i have noticed is that their behaviour changes notably when they are talking to me irl than texting. On texts, they are very talkative, cheerful and have things to talk about. They even compliment my looks on texts but when I see/meet them irl, they won't talk to me too properly, avoid looking at me and sometimes they even run away (lol). I haven't ever said anything wrong or made them feel offended/awkward so I don't know what's up with that. If you can help with possible explanations regarding the situation, it'd be really helpful. Shit's been really confusing 😂.
