I've realized that my wife has been acting differently lately. My friends think that she may have such a syndrome, does anyone know what it is?
+1 ySeems to me like more of that hypocritical double speak women like to use. Men who leave are just shitbags and cheaters. Women are just unhappy, and it’s most likely a man’s fault that she is. You’re smoked either way. Dudes get the shaft in divorce court. I read a story about this kat whose wife literally tried to kill him. Miraculously, she was arrested, tried and convicted. Once she was in prison, he filed for divorce and she still took him for everything FROM PRISON! There’s literally nothing a woman can do to a man that will result in a fair divorce in the US.

What is the Walkaway Wife Syndrome?
There is no one definition of the Walkaway Wife Syndrome, but it generally refers to a situation in which a woman who feels unhappy or unfulfilled in her marriage decides to leave without any warning or explanation.
The term was coined by author M. Gary Neuman in his book The Truth About Cheating: Why Men Stray and How to Keep Them Loyal.
The Walkaway Wife Syndrome can be caused by a number of factors, including a lack of communication, feeling unappreciated, or feeling that one's needs are not being met.
- Sometimes, a woman may leave her husband because she is unhappy with his behavior, such as if he is cheating or is otherwise emotionally abusive.
- In other cases, a woman may simply feel that she is no longer in love with her husband and that she would be happier living her life without him.
Whatever the reason, the decision to leave a marriage is not one that should be made lightly. If you are considering leaving your husband, it is important to talk to a trusted friend or counselor to help you sort out your feelings and decide what is best for you.
Signs of Walkaway Wife Syndrome
Are you worried your wife may be a walkaway wife?
While there is no surefire way to know for sure, there are some signs that may indicate she's considering leaving. If you notice your wife exhibiting any of the following behaviors, it may be time to have a serious conversation about your relationship.
1. She's become more distant and withdrawn.
If your wife used to be chatty and engaged in your conversations but now seems distant and uninterested, it could be a sign that she's checked out of the relationship. She may be spending more time alone, or you may notice she's not sharing as much with you emotionally. This distance can be a sign that she's no longer invested in the relationship.
2. She's less interested in sex.
A decrease in sexual interest can be a sign that your wife is no longer physically or emotionally attracted to you. This may be due to a variety of factors, such as feeling disconnected from you emotionally or feeling like sex is a chore. If you've noticed your wife's sex drive has decreased, it's worth talking to her about what might be causing this.
3. She's become more critical of you.
If your wife has started to nitpick everything you do, it may be a sign that she's no longer happy in the relationship. She may be pointing out your flaws in an effort to push you away. Or, she may simply be venting her frustration with you because she's considering leaving.
4. She's talking about taking a break.
If your wife has started talking about taking a break, it's a clear sign that she's considering leaving. She may say she needs time to herself, or she may talk about taking a trip without you. This is her way of testing the waters to see if you'd be okay with her leaving.
5. She's made new friends.
If your wife has started spending more time with her friends, it may be a sign that she's looking for emotional support outside of the relationship. She may be confiding in her friends more than she's confiding in you, which is a clear sign that she's disconnected from you.
6. She's stopped trying.
If your wife has stopped trying to please you and instead seems to be doing things that purposely upset you, it's a sign that she's given up on the relationship. She may be trying to push you away so you'll be the one to end things.
If you notice your wife exhibiting any of these behaviors, it's important to have a conversation with her about what's going on.These signs may mean she's considering leaving, and it's important to address the issue before it's too late.
How Do You Fix Walkaway Wife Syndrome?
Walkaway wife syndrome is a term used to describe the experience of a woman who suddenly leaves her husband and family with no warning or explanation. The syndrome is not an official diagnosis, but it is a real phenomenon that can have a devastating effect on a family. If you are the husband of a walkaway wife, you may be feeling confused, hurt, and even angry.
But there are ways to cope with this situation and even fix it:
First, it is important to understand that a walkaway wife is not necessarily a bad person. In many cases, she is simply someone who is unhappy in her marriage and has reached a breaking point.
She may have been trying to make things work for a long time, but she has reached a point where she can no longer continue in the relationship.
- If you want to try to fix your marriage, the first step is to talk to your wife. It is important to be understanding and to avoid blame. You need to find out what is causing her unhappiness and see if there is anything you can do to change the situation. If she is willing to talk, you may be able to work together to save your marriage.
- If your wife is not willing to talk to you, or if you are not able to fix the problems in your marriage, you may need to accept that it is over. This can be a difficult decision, but it is important to remember that you cannot force someone to stay in a relationship if they are not happy.
- If your wife has left you, it is important to give yourself time to grieve. This is a difficult situation, and it is normal to feel a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, and confusion. It is important to allow yourself to feel these emotions and to talk to someone who can help you deal with them.
- If you have children, it is also important to be there for them. They are likely to be feeling confused and hurt by the situation. They need your love and support.
Walkaway wife syndrome can be a difficult experience, but it is important to remember that you are not alone. There are many resources available to help you cope with this situation.

In other words, she won't end a relationship with you, until she's found another relationship. Most often the solution to this behavior is to pretend it deosnt bother you. Women are weird like that. Playing it cool and also becoming distant will make her think you don't care, and ironically that's what will draw her back in.

+1 yMy wife woke me up at midnight, said she wanted a divorce. I was devastated, very much in love and willing to do anything.
The next day she was gone, no explanation, I didn't even go to the divorce hearing and never saw or spoke to her again.

My story with my ex is completely different than yours, but basically he left me when I discovered on facebook he was getting married (not with me obviously 😅). There was no contact whatsoever after that and 5 years later I found myself brave enough to text him to ask how he was, I was still not over him, and we started chatting. He said he was sorry, he apologized sincerely and said he was trying to say sorry to all the women he did wrong to. It released me, it ‘healed’ me, gave me closure or smth, I felt I could move on from this time. I then broke up with the guy I was seeing who unfortunately (I realised then) was a rebound. And that’s it, after one true conversation where he acknowledged the wrong he did I had moved on basically and now I find him ugly & pathetic 😁. Hope you have a great day x

@Slartybartfast That's terrible. But you're not dead yet! You're still alive and when you're ready give yourself a chance again. It will be painful but worth it.
This was a big trauma in your life, maybe you could get help from a mental health professional to give you the nudge you need for that? - +1 y

@Slartybarfast Life is not meant to be endured, but to be lived.
I heard about people getting married and even having kids at your age all the time without ever expecting to.
But maybe that's not at all what you wanted in life? Or want now? Maybe this is better material for a DM and not in public? 🤔 - +1 y
@MAC1983 I literally haven't dated , I went in one date in 2002 , I had tried ab online dating site, must have messaged a dozen women no response. I was about to close the account but a wine responded, we talked fir a couple weeks and I asked her out to dinner. Being my first date in years I was ok when she suggested a restaurant I never heard of.
The menu didn't have prices. The bill was $800 plus tip.
Then she told me she was married with a child...
I closed my online dating account.

Sorry to hear that. There are bad people out there, but that doesn't mean you should close yourself off. I mean, the nerve of that woman! - there are people like that, that use people to try restaurants. To say nothing sugar daddies/mommas.
But, let's be honest, there are probably a lot of good women who had just as bad experiences with men and would be excited to meet you.
Dating has changed, maybe not for the better in the last 22 years, but have you tried the Coffee meets Bagel app?
It's not crazy superficial like Tinder and the attitude inside it is pretty chill.
You don't have to date anyone but you can have interesting people come into your life, online or in real life. If it evolves into something great. Either way it will be more like living and less like surviving. From my experience, you don't need any more of the second.
Focus on yourself, be the best you you can be, and don't give up on wanting more than survival. You ignored me, but I'll write it again: you've had your share of big traumas and a good mental health professional can help you get to a better headspace. Try that as well.
+1 yLook it up.
Found out mine was one of those.
Death of her folks put her "over the edge."
Too bad I didn't realize it ahead of time - I could have saved myself and our son a lot of stress and heartache.
We're a sight poorer but better off without her.00 Reply- 659 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic.
+1 yshe's found another man or thinks she could or knows she can have the same lifestyle without you but with your money. If you dont keep a woman on a leash, just as with even the best trained dog, they will run off at somepoint. Lol. Meaning dont be a moron and get legally married. Smh.
