Why is she so uncomfortable after friend zoning me?

So I used to like a girl and then I got friend zoned and she accepted. Stopped giving her too much attention and now she's uncomfortable even at a normal friendship. She goes like there's too much. 😬

Why did you accept this? You know she never will change her mind.

If she was straight up with me I would of responded with “I appreciate your honesty but that’s not what I am looking for. But I wish you the best of luck”. Then I would go on my way and never contact her again If I ran into her I would be pleasant, smile and say hello. However I would never hang out with her again.

But maybe you had the self discipline to turn off your feelings (did you lose interest?). If yes that’s really impressive. Not easy to do.

Anyway if that’s the case you won’t be acting like you used to. Earlier you were likely nicer/more pre-occupied about how she felt about you. This gave her emotional leverage and she knew it.

But I think since you have changed your tune and she realizes she can no longer get the same attention from you as either. Less power for her (good work) and it bothers her.

I think she was expecting you to keep kissing her ass and your not. That shows you how selfish she is. I’m glad you foiled her one sided expectations. She still wants that romantic attention without having to reciprocate anything. She probably got away with this in the past with other guys. But you surprised her.

Nah she thought she had her little setup in the bag when he said “yeah we can be friends”


She thought he would continue giving her romantic attention and bending over backwards for her to boost her ego (and she didn’t have to do anything in return).

Turns out he stopped giving her the one way attention she craved and it foiled her setup. He doesn’t owe her anything especially romantic attention.

At first I thought he was an idiot to say yes to the friéndzone. But he cleverly turned the tables on her to show he’s got self control. She thought she could still exploit him but he proved her wrong. So that’s why she’s acting weird.

This is actually quite genius. He should keep being surface polite but never contact her. Maybe be nice when she contacts him but never doing her any favors because she doesn’t deserve it.
