Why does this girl tell me I am a good person?

Why does this girl tell me I am a good person? She has said this a few times already, but I'm not sure why she keeps reminding me.

She believes I don't see it yet, but she says it's okay if I don't. She also wants me to be safe. Why does she say all this?

Sounds like you must have done something that positively impresses her and that is why she says it to you.

You may have helped an elderly across the street, assisted a disabled person to put the groceries in his/her car or given some cash to a needy person on the streets or even bought a drink to a homeless. There are hundreds of reasons why someone would see you as a good person. All it takes is a good deed that someone else did not do.

This goodness may also be related to your character or your behavior that is out of the norm compared with how other people behave.

That's funny cause literally yesterday I texted this guy:
"(Name) ur a great guy
Sorry, sometimes I have the urge to uplift someone
Bye
(You don't have to react to this hahahah)"
And he replied:
"ummm Thanks"
I texted him this cause I kinda have a crush on him. But I'm not the type to ever tell someone I like them. So he'll probably never know (as all my past crushes).

If someone tells you they are good then it is prefaced as to why you are good. And then confirmed after stating the person is good. Were you just clapping your fins together like a seal or penguin. What's the whole story?

I guess it never really brought to my attention to ask her why, I kind of just went along with it. But I would sure like to know what it all means?
