That would be an ideal situation. It is rarely that someone will break the personal space rule as a "maybe crush". If one did then they are very brave and immediately should be asked out on date.

Didn’t know that, but it’s still confusing if they give mixed signals and could be taken as the guy just being socially awkward and wanting to share chips or get close to renew a friendship. It’s never good to get too cocky. The person if they’re not talking to you could maybe not really like you at all and just be socially awkward. If they look like they want to spew up when you’re around.
