On the first date or meet as long as you are out in the public domain it ought to be fun. No sex, religion, or politics jokes but come with some animal jokes for awkward quiet moments. I do everything I can to get her talking and don't say much. Nod at the right time, insert a phrase that keep her going, and attend to what she says very well.
Back when i was dating I had a notebook and I would document all that was said. I would revisit the subjects via text "cause I was listening to her", print texts, and compare. I wanted to know the Person before I fell in love with the beauty...
And I would review them day before dates and if you are ever able to bring up something from the first meet because you wanted to know how it turned out or whatever then she has probably emotionally bonded or appreciates you at that point.
