Why do women have such a hard time defining "What is a woman"?

When you ask women this question "What is a woman" Why are they so hesitant to answer such a simple and basic question? Are they afraid?

I get along well with women and have not found them to be more (or less) scheming and manipulative than men. From what I've seen, appearance is not the main feature of men that attracts women,

I also think its possible for men to become more interesting and desirable to women - not by any sort of tricks, but simply by doing things that make them worthy of respect.
