Should I be concerned he's never had a girlfriend before?

Been dating this guy for about a month now. We had a long talk the other night after I invited him in (nothing happened although I did hope something might- he left after a couple of coffees). While we were talking it came out that he's never been in a relationship at all before and it got me wondering why.

He's 25 and generally quite shy and quiet but very cute and seems like a really nice guy. He has a really great job, nice house, car etc. and though I kow that stuff isn't important it makes it hard to understand why he's never had a girlfriend before. I suppose he is a little awkward and seems nervous when I get close to him (I mean just sitting next to him). Maybe this is why he hasn't even touched me yet (on the arm or anything, without me doing it first) and we haven't kissed. I do really like him though.

I didn't have my first girlfriend until I was about 20. Its not that I didn't want one before that, it just never happened, girls didn't pay attention to me in that way, nor did it help that I was shy and could not talk to them.

Point being, just because you're his first girlfriend, doesn't mean he hasn't longed or wanted one earlier in his life.

Shyness can destroy many good moments for you and maybe he just wants you to feel comfortable with him, so he doesn't want to scare you away by being to forward.

For the time being, you might need to initiate the steps, when he feels you're actually like him, he might open up more and initiate things himself, before that I'm afraid he is just to shy and has a lot of respect for you and don't want to destroy what you have.

He's shy, and way over the edge. Although he gets nervous it doesn't mean he doesn't like you. The strange thing is that he gets nervous because he likes you.

Maybe he thinks it may offend you if he would touch you.

Give him time to break out from his shell. Inside each shy person is an animal... it can be tiger... but it also can be a puppy!

Be nice to him, but also be sensible to yourself, don't give him way too much time, if there won't be any signs he's getting over his shyness, then the best is not to bother with him. Some people stay shy all their life and never get over it no matter what.

This could be an issue, he may be anxious, overly shy or whatnot, something like that!

Give him time but measure the time you give, eventually he SHOULD become more assertive, but if he won't be getting better, you won't change him!

But damn he got a good job, nice car, nice house and so on, so you could be quite happy with him, and there are other guys who could ravage you anyway!

na that's no reason to b concerned. Some guys just don't make finding a relationship a priority. He has other things to focus on. The only serious relationship iv been in was because the girl persued me.

No, not at all. The reason he never had one is propably because of the things you stated about him here. He propably never took the lead and was too much of a permission asking guy.
