Girl's Behavior

A girl I've been with 3 months just told me nah im good I have to work tonight when I invited her over. she's never said that. What does this mean?

We met randomly and instantly hit it off. She came over multiple times a week. We had an argument and didn't talk for a week. We just started to communicate again this week. I invited her over and she said nah I'm good ill probably be working all night. She has never said that before. I know she's probably still upset and trying to. test my temper as I had a way of texting when things didn't go my way but I have been totally different since we started talking again. I understand that she has 3 kids she takes care of alone but what does this mean? She has literally never said "nah I'm good" to me. Nor has she said she was working any night! I'm trying not to. assume or give the cliche guys' answer of "she's with someone else" but I need to know if by her communicating with me means that she is still interested or is she just responding for the hell of it. I know I messed up and seemed selfish but I rectified those actions. Now I'm saying I understand and not giving the usual rebuttal that I give people. I need some help ma'am. Sensible realistic help. I don't want to just walk away because that's not what I pursued her to do. I actually value her. I'm just trying to do the right thing and have the opportunity to show her that I am the blessing she thought I was when we began this situation.
