Girls, How is your life different from how you present it on social media?

Every time I open ig it seems like life is really easy for women. As if you either have a well paid job or you're earning a fair amount of money being some kind of a model or come from a rich background or have men lined up waiting to take care of all your needs. As if you never get stuck in a rut bad enough to render you truly desperate. What is the reality?

My social media is locked to my close friends and family. I don't have it public to people I don't specifically invite. So I would say pretty much my life on social media is actually more guarded than my real life. In real life I talk to strangers every day as a bartending. I will chit chat with people I don't know. They may gain a little insight into the person I am. If you are a stranger on social media looking for me you will find no information and no shared pics and whatnot. So I am opposite what you would think.

Don’t compare online, everything is fake, even if it isn’t, only the best good parts are shown. Like how someone may take over a hundred photos and only post the best 2, you end up thinking they’re naturally flawless when they also tried hard to appear like that. I’m not gonna post about me having a rough time but I’m gonna post about happy occasions for sure.

also remember, a lot of the big influencers or just people you see online aren’t the average demographic. The majority of girls are not models getting flown out to islands by flocks of guys.

The reality is not the dreamworld you live in. I work very hard for my money 40 hours or each week and every other female I know does the same. Stay off the internet. 🤦‍♀️
