Why did she tells me ”bye”?

This girl at school was talking to her friend after class and when she was about to leaves she told me ”bye”, as I was standing next to them but why did she tell me that, is she wanted my attention?

Because she was leaving the conversation... I feel as though there is some additional context that I'm missing here, because this seems pretty straight forward.

It doesn't matter if there was a conversation between you and her lol. She was acknowledging you as she left a conversation with the person you approached to talk to. Saying "goodbye" as she walked away isn't flirty, that's just basic manners.

That's why I was wondering if there was some more context I didn't know about. That's not subtly flirting at all, it's just not being rude (which can definite feel like flirting sometimes these days).

Maybe she thought you did want to talk with her friend. Or maybe she just said "goodbye" because were near by she recognized you and again just wasn't being an asshole. Either way, I doubt that her reason for saying goodbye had anything to do with the passion you ignite in her loins.
