I’ve seen this from multiple friends of mine who would not normally post overtly sexual things but then post shower photos or their hair for a Halloween costume and if it was any lower would be NSFW because they aren’t wearing anything.

They are attention seekers. Plain and simple. They know that you're going to look and possibly shower them with compliments which is exactly what they are looking for. They are often after followers if you are talking about social media accounts. The more they entice the more people will follow them. That can even lead to revenue in some cases. They know exactly what to do to get people to follow and compliment them. Very vain in my opinion but hey the guys keep feeding them. If they stop so will those girls.
