Here is a list of high status, wealthy, men who have had divorce initiated against them:

Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Jeff Bazos, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Dr. Dre, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady, Lance Armstrong, Alex Rodriguez, Channing Tatum, Chris Rock, Ben Affleck, Chris Pratt, Liam Hemsworth, Ben Stiller, David Duchovny, Orlando Bloom, Tiger Woods, Sean Penn, Sylvester Stallone, Paul McCartney, Ryan Felipe, Jason Momoa, Michael Jordan,

If these men can't keep a woman, what makes you think you can?

I did get married and I did so with a woman that was not American. We have been together 16 years and she is just as happy and passionate as the day we got together. It seems that the best method for those who want to get married is to avoid the vast majority of American women or women in countries that have a high amount of "feminist women"

You forgot Steve Harvey, the King of Simps, who was divorced twice but claims to be an expert in keeping women happy & marriage. Always preaching that men should simp for women, no matter what. It doesn't add up.

To be fair:

I think Jeff Bezos divorced his wife.

Tiger Woods dumped his loyal high school sweetheart who stuck with him when he was a nobody and was with him when he first had national success for a woman who didn't value him on a deeper level. Big mistake. People focus on him cheating but I always suspected the other side of the story was his wife not being into him. He tried to become *friends* with hookers cause he felt he needed a female friend and his wife wasn't it. I don't agree with his (likely) thinking, just saying.

Dr. Dre -- yes, this is a great example of a man being robbed. He was giving his wife $100k per month (!) to throw parties and more cash to spend on herself. He practically worshiped her. When she filed for divorce she claimed she needed $100k/month since she was used to that. There's a lesson in that for all guys, in divorce "everything you did will be used against you in a court of law". It's not like they say, hey you gave her 20 million so we'll subtract that from alimony and share you owe her now. Nah. She also said she could have been a high profile lawyer if she wasn't married to him so she was due whatever a high profile lawyer would have made during the marriage. Even tho she never practiced law and had as much chance of being a high profile lawyer as being the Queen of England.

Johnny Depp - another great example. Although to me the lesson here is not to be 'that' guy who is soft and kind to people no matter how they treat you. A woman like Amber is only going to abuse guys who allow it. With a man who has an IRON knight's glove that weighs like 8 pounds, she ain't even going to think about messing up a hair on his head. There's a reason why she didn't try her bs on Elon Musk. Elon's a fool to be messing with her too tho. Although he's known to be in favor of making lots of babies with different women so maybe from his POV it's like collecting baseball cards or something.

Michael Jordan - A good example -- although I suspect -- but I don't know - that maybe he found his wife where most pro athletes find them. A lot of these guys intentionally go to known pick up spots for gold diggers (clubs) where everybody knows the women ONLY want money and nothing else. So it's just a ticking time bomb. Likewise, most actors find their women in the same place where the other 20 dudes who had her found her. The "I do anything for fame and money business conference hotel at 4am" Very risky. Okay, I kid a little. Just a little. There's a reason why most actors change relationships like we change socks.

My point is that there's always a story. And stories matter. Yes, it's true that getting married today is WAY, WAY more risky than 40-70 years ago. However I think if you're careful to find a traditional minded wife, get a prenup & don't be a simp, odds work out better.

I still want to get married. I just want a girl that I find to be physically attractive, doesn't care about how much I make, has chemistry with me (similar interests, views, sense of humor, style of communicating, goals in life, way of thinking, etc.), cares about her appearance, health, and physical fitness, is kind and intelligent, and is loyal.

If I can find a partner like that, then I'm good to go.

It is just redpill nonsense to think there is some trick to it. Celebrities are not normal people, or at least don't lead normal lives, so using them as a baseline is inherently misleading

All you really have to do to retain a girlfriend is find a girl who isn't a narcissist while you, yourself, avoid being a narcissist. The barest modicum of mutual understanding and consideration is all it takes to be better relationship material than probably 50% of men.

It isn't that I'm arrogant. My parents marriage lasted less than two years. Neither of them held relationships for longer than five years. I grew up with that as an example.

Wanting to get married and to be together until I die after we meet has been a dream of mine since I was really young. My examples have been sitcoms, and the married couples I've known staying together that long.

Even though I have no faith in ever having a relationship, most of my coworkers are married and have done so for at least ten years. Out of the ones that aren't, one is divorced and all but one are in long term relationships.

I still have a dream somewhat, but I know it won't happen.

Maybe if I find a woman I´d fall in love with. I´m not desperate for marriage but I don´t want to reject it either. The guys you listed are for most men that are wealthy and famous but that doesn´t say anything about their character. Like most of them could be jerks and ass holes and still be rich and famous.
None of them live a life that compares to mine so just because it didn´t work well for them so there´s no point in saying it didn´t work for them it won´t work for me.

I am married and I trust my wife but women like her are incredibly rare these days; it also helps tremendously that i took her virginity. If something happened to her I would not remarry because the odds I would find another woman who is pretty, feminine, a virgin and not on social media are infinitesimal.

That's a weird list. Who says those guys were worth keeping? I don't know any of them personally. Some of them like Gates and Bazos are for sure ass holes. All they have going for them is money. I don't know about the rest.
Who knows about the dynamics of their relationships.

I'll bet the main motivator for both the men and women in those relationships was status.

Sure they have money and fame, but the majority have screwed around on their wives, so a regular guy that's been honest and never cheated, has one-up on most of the celebrities in that list.

When it comes to getting married, I think that says a lot.

Being a celebrity has nothing to do with being in a relationship and wealth / social status at the end of the day will not cause a woman to stay one minute longer then necessary in a toxic relationship if she is mentally healthy.

Seems to me like you are looking at martial relationships the wrong way, if you think their wealth is enough.

Those are people that always think they can get someone better so they don’t last very long , and the women get paid quite a bit after the divorce so it’s quite an incentive for them, some of those marriages ended because of cheating like with mine she was cheating, it lasted 17 years but the last few years were horrible. Not sure if I will do it again

Nope. Marriage is the consequence of meeting the right person, not the end unto itself. If and when it does happen and doesn't work out, she'll keep her stuff and I'll keep mine. I've never comingled finances before to keep that simpler.

Women have no reason to stay married when they can (and usually) so get at least half (and usually more) of everything ther man has earned. Also children and property and alimony. What's not to like for them?

I have always liked the concept of marriage, what my parents and grandparents had. I want that too, but the relality for men of what marriage has become is a very different thing. Women are different. Marriage has become a mine field for men, with far more risks and fewer benefits. I've come to the relaization that what my parents had is not relaistic for most men anymore.
