From the reaction you got, I presume that the liking is not reciprocated. If she did not say hello in return then accept it as an indication that she is indifferent to you and move ahead.

The problem I see is always the lack of communication. If you like somebody, then say it otherwise you will never know if that person likes you in return.

You are taking a chance that she says that she does not like you but at least then, you will know and not start to develop more feelings. You can then move onto your next target.
