Once I was taking a retake exam and this girl in my class told me ”do u want me to ask u some questions“ as for helping me preparing for it?

If you’re retaking the exam it means you failed, so she was probably just offering you help to study. It is really just a friendly gesture, I’d probably offer it to a classmate as well.
