That is a really tough one to answer because girls will give different answers based on their preferences and also how comfortable they are with the guy. If it is a first kiss... that will be very much different than if it is a year later and they have been intimate for example. So hard to say but most guys (and girls) that I have kissed place them around my back of on my waist if I remember correctly. Hard to remember that far back to that first kiss moment but that is what comes to memory for me. I don't see anything with hands on waist. I usually would place mine around his neck or rest them on his shoulders if that makes any difference to you.

Really depends. If it is like a first kiss then yeah that is pretty safe. If you've been making out with her then pretty much moving your hands around is almost instinctual. Just kind of happens. You go with the flow sorta.
