What do you think of girls who keep their heels on even if they were denting the floor?

My friend invited me to her brother's house this weekend and I wore my favorite pair of heels that went with my outfit and were relatively comfortable, but they were worn down and dented the wood floor. I did not take off my heels as everyone had their shoes on. Guys, would you appreciate a girl who cared about her appearance as I did, or do you think I should have done differently. Girls, what would you have done?

To clarify, the heels were worn down to the metal nail and none of my other shoes went well with my outfit.

well first i would point it out but if she did not care i would think they were inconsiderate. a host should point that out and offer to lend slippers for the evening. a considerate person would notice and ask to borrow slippers until you leave. later at home throw those away so not wear them anymore.

If you know your shoes are worn and still wear them you don’t care about your appearance as much as you claim you do.


I have folks take their shoes off at the door (except the very elderly who have issues walking without their orthodic shoes).

I did not have time to get them reheeled as the heel tips came off only a few days earlier

I didn't damage it on purpose, I just wanted to look my best so I chose these heels and did not take them off.

But you knew you were damaging it. At that point you should have either taken the shoes off, left, or done something else so that you didn't do any more damage.

I came with my friend who drove so I couldn't leave by myself. Walking barefoot looks silly and tacky like someone who couldn't handle heels. I tried putting less weight on the heel and more on my toes and ball of foot but it became too painful so I went back to standing normally.

I don't want to pay for damage, but I would consider spending money on new heels that won't cause damage.
