Why do some women feel it is okay to use the men's bathroom when there is a long line for the women's?

They desperately have to pee and that is there only option is my guess. What else are they going to do? Pop a squat in the hallway? I have luckily never been faced with this problem because I don't wait until I just can't hold it. Women take longer to use the restroom (to pee) and stalls take up more room than urinals do so often there are less available spaces. That means that the lines are often longer and thus women are stuck waiting and maybe hadn't planned on having to wait so they have no choice other than to use the men's restroom or pee their pants (think drunk chicks). I have not and never will go into a men's restroom. No way, no how. That is the last thing I need to do is to be leered at by men as I walk into a stall to do my business.

Because it's a space with toilets in it, that - if free - can be used by people who need to pee.
Men's bathrooms often have a lot more toilets/urinals than women's.

If there's urinals, I just don't look in that direction cause I don't want to invade privacy, but man.. if I gotta piss and there's no other men - I'll just go there.

Because it is okay? It's not like taking a handicap parking spot just bc u don't wanna walk very far. If u gotta go u gotta go. Why wait 5 minutes longer if there's no line for the men's? Would u rather she take the gamble in that situation?
