I used to love it. Now they’re mostly dead, so it’s not as fun. Most malls around here are being torn down and rebuilt as shopping plazas, so people just drive up to the store they want and there’s no larger building with people roaming around. Shopping malls were awesome in their heyday.

Ohh I considered those malls too. But the mall closest to me is still open. And the ones further are open too. I guess I live around a place where people still like malls lol 😂

Haha, well, I guess we have a few left, but they’re DEAD. There’s actually a guy on YouTube who hits all the once-thriving malls in the region (dating myself here, but some of them I just remember from looking up movie times in the newspaper, and the theaters were usually at malls😝), and all the malls are barely hanging on. Maybe there’s a Target or something in an anchor store space that keeps it afloat. And most still have movie theaters. They’re really more entertainment centers. Instead of retail stores there’ll be a bowling alley, or golf simulation place, or one of those places for kids with monkey bars, and slides, and nets and ladders to climb, and poles to slide down. Random gift shops, maybe a dead Macy’s. Just clearly on life support. The drive-up plazas thrive though. I just don’t feel like they hit the same as an indoor mall did in the 80s and 90s when I was growing up. I guess they survived they’re usefulness to me, from a “hanging out” standpoint, I’m way too old for that shit😝 But the nostalgic part of me will always miss their heyday.

I used to because I could go to bookstores. Now I don't. If I want a book I get it from the library or I look for a used copy or I walk the four blocks to Elliott Bay books.

Yeah I do especially the food court. For the clothes I love shops around the corner 😁 and I think it's the experience more important than the shopping itself 😊

I don't think so, the mall near me I think is the 5th biggest mall in the country, I doubt they aren't going to shut it down
