Nothing beats cotton because cotton lets your body breathe, which is not that much the case for silk or satin. Silk and satin are woven too tightly to let the body breathe.
That would be a heaven for bacteria to multiply and that is obviously unhealthy. I only wear cotton underwear that cover entirely what has to be covered.
I try to live healthy while satin and silk is not really that healthy to wear for a prolonged time during the day. I don't think I own anything in those materials simply because I am not attracted to the feel of it.
