Do women and men really cheat for different reasons?

They claim men cheat for fun while women cheat for a lack of love. Is this real or only a myth? can anyone tell any stories. Can a woman claim she cheated for fun and others say it was only for a lack of love to verify this?

It is mostly true that men will cheat over sex especially if their woman has shut up the shop. Another girl sexually arouses him and he'll follow that sexual buzz. It is possible it is more for emotional qualities. His wife is mean to him and his secretary is nice to him, so he runs of with her. Men cheat for emotional reasons too. Especially if they are not getting respect which is more important than love.

I think it makes sense. A 18 yo girl extracts excitement from a Bad Boy. When she graduates and enters the work force, a man with a professional network that will help her move up in her profession will be better value. Bad Boy ditched, Professional Man is new boyfriend.

Towards 30 she wants a family (which her Profesional man is not keen on) so value to her is a Family Man who will change nappies. In 8 years when both kiddies are in elementary school she is tired of the boring stable life and sees a new Bad Boy as having best value now. FM out, BB2 in. In another 10 years security becomes important to her. She gets interested in the value of a Rich Bastard.

This pysch's model is that women monkey branch from what offers them most value they can extract from a man at that point in their life. And it changes, so they change to men who can deliver the new value they want. Of course they have to hook the next guy in so they cheat and give him really superb sex..

It matches with what life experience I have had so far.

Never cheated but I think this is BS, I've known a few guys who have had emotional affairs. I also knew a women who had a think for cheating. She loved the feeling of it, she didn't care about the men she hooked up with, just the fun she got in the moment.

I do think women are more likely to break up with you after cheating, but that's because women are more likely to break up in general.

I think men cheat because they is a lack of intimacy at home or they’re bored/not happy.
Women cheat because they’re not sexually attracted or compatible to the man they’re with and they can’t resist other men’s attention.

Many people cheat even in happy relationships. Especially ones where they are romantically attracted to their partner but not sexually. Or sexually attracted but not romantically. They will seek that other side from other people. I digress.

Other instances where someone’s with someone because they’re safe. Because they just wanted a family. Are with someone for materliaric or superficial reasons. But don’t feel attracted.

Nah, I think men and women are actually pretty similar when it comes to cheating and it comes down to 2 primary reasons.

• There is a certain part of the male population who are immature and insecure and who will fuck anything anytime. Because they can. This is the infamous Chad and Tyrone. They are like large children. And they are incapable of caring about who they hurt. But, Chad and Tyrone have female counterparts, Barbie and Shaniqua. They are also insecure and immature. They have men throwing themselves at them constantly. So they fuck around because they can. And they aren't capable of caring about who they hurt. That's the garbage people.
• Then you have the men and women who are with the wrong people. Abusive men or women. Asexual men or women. Partners who don't respect them. Partners who have decided to love a bottle, or cocaine, or pot, or heroin. Partners who aren't holding up their end of the relationship bargain in one or more ways. These people stick around and try to make it work until they finally snap. They are done mentally and emotionally even if they haven't said it out loud or to themselves. An opportunity presents itself. They connect with someone in the same situation. And it's like sliding down a gravity well. There was no plan. It just happens. Whether you're a man or woman. It gets easier the second time. And the third. It provides relief. That feels good. It's hard to call these people wrong for cheating when they are trapped by kids or financial limitations. At least in my mind.

There may be other or more nuanced versions of cheating but those are the 2 big categories. And men and women both experience these scenarios.

People cheat for LOTS of reasons… It comes down to bad morals and integrity. People who are not cheaters in unhappy relationships leave.

But cheaters also cheat when things are going well.. Even just for pleasure. Yes, this includes women. Yes, in some cases people are in relationships they aren’t happy in but are cowards and instead of leaving or putting in the effort. They try to find fulfillment in other affairs. Generally… these people cannot ever be pleased long term.

Sex for a man is a physical act, enhanced if there's emotion, but not absolutely necessary, while sex for a woman almost always involves emotion.
