Why do I rarely see women rarely walking alone in the park these last couple of years?

I don't know if it's common where anyone else is but where I am in my city women rarely walk alone in the park like they would have 10 years ago or so.

yeah i don't see many women walking around here anymore either and i live in a small town where crime isn't really a big issue , although one of the girls who used to jog around our street moved away to another country and another went to school , did see her once during holiday break on the street running

i guess some go to gyms instead or locations that are more out of the way less known , but know some of the younger girls here who jogged around have moved away

Not talking about this season, I've noticed it for a couple of years...

Okay... Where I live, it still seems normal. I do live in a smaller town but there is A TON of joggers and walkers on the sidewalks. We also have a bike trail, that is surrounded by woods for a couple miles but girls do walk in pairs going down it.

There are many that do in the inner small downtown area but not really in the outside counties like there use to be, not sure if it has anything to do with big companies and data centers being built in nearby areas and people moving out.

Could it possibly be all the crazies wondering around the city?

I have no idea, I see them walking alone all the time. Don't see the importance.
