Why did the World Cup add women’s pee areas and urinal stations?

My friend just went to the states for the tournament and she said there was loads of facilities around fan zones and stadiums for women to pee, like private fences off areas in the open and female urinal stations in some places. I think it’s a great idea tbh cos it can be so difficult!
