Why do girls in relationships get upset when you call them by their first or last name?

I wpuld like to preface this by saying I have not been in a relationship. I just haven't had any interest to this point.

I don't have any clue why a girl would have any issue with being called her fiest name. That is absurd. What do you believe they are called then? Last name is even more ridiculous.

Haven't been in one where someone called my by name only, but it would feel rather impersonal, so at first, fine, but after a while, it would probably bother me, yeah. It just sounds more formal and professional rather than someone you're in a romantic relationship with.

Well, it doesn't bother me if my wife just uses my first name. In fact, most times she does. She RARELY ever uses my full first and middle name when she is calling me out on something lol

For her, I use pet names for her but if i use her first name she always says, "why are you using my goverment name?" So I guess this theory has SOME validity to it.
