Do you think girls’ are now acting more like disrespectful guys’ these days?

I feel like a lot of girls’ today are acting more like disrespectful guys’ these days mainly because of what she experienced or witnessed from disrespectful guys’ that have done to girls’ in the past , because I remember girls’ being more respectful and caring and kind , before I got into a long term relationship with my ex that I was with for 20 years. Now that I am back in the dating market , I am meeting girls’ that really don’t have much respect for men anymore , that just want to hook up and have sex with no strings attached and continue being single and free and hooking up with whoever she wants to , I am not saying every girl is this way , but it seems like there is a lot more of them that are. Back on the day when I met a beautiful girl that I hit it off with , my focus was only on her and I am still that way today , but it seems girls’ aren’t that way as much anymore and it’s been harder for me to find a girl that actually just wants me and nobody else that doesn’t have a list of other guys’ she is seeing. So are girls’ acting more like disrespectful guys’ these days? What do you think?

It's hard. Women used to not really have sex outside of relationships so men had to offer a relationship to get consistent sex. Sure there was always a few easy women. But generally with lack of contraception and fear of STDs women were more cautious and men had to try harder. Now there is more sexual freedom for women. And it's hard to argue why we shouldn't have sexual freedom. But all us women wanting a relationship man can't seem to find them as I do wonder if even subconsciously men sought relationships mainly for regular sex but now they can get that so freely they play the field. And treat women badly. And women? We like sex too and get frustrated at lack of relationship men and after getting burned or used for sex think "well, I'm not waiting around, I'll just use men for sex too. Keep my heart safe". And that just adds to the imbalance. Men no longer needing relationship for sex. Women having more hook up sex cos of no relationship men. Which makes men even less relationship seeking.

And when a guy like yourself comes along saying your different and not all for sex? How many times we hear that just to be tricked and guy fucks and ghosts after a week or so?

It's fucked up cos I want a relationship and am in same trap. I dont want no sex so I have my friends with benefits. But I do want a real relationship. Nobody seems to remember what it's like to have a partner as your best friend and companionship and not just for sex or money or material things anymore.

I remember the time that you are referring to (before you got married).

I dated a lot in my late 20's, 30's, and 40's. Back then, it was the guys who were disrespectful to girls and women.

They would feed us some B. S. to get us in bed and have sex, then never call again.

Of course all of us women were comparing notes, because all of the guys were doing the exact same thing to us. They would even say all of the same things to us.

Like:
I need space.

We need to see other people.

Of course it's not you! It's me. They would say that when they ended it for no reason.

Of course I'll call you.🙄

I could go on and on but I knew that eventually women were going to get sick and tired of the same old song and dance - and that's exactly what happened!

They turned the tables on the guys and started treating the guys like they were treating us. Just using women for sex.

All I can say is that I knew that was going to happen and the guys taught us well.

Exactly , disrespectful guys’ is what pretty much ruined it for respectful guys’ that actually care and want to see her again , so I blame disrespectful guys’ for giving the male species a band reputation, so now females’ are pretty much doing the same thing, assuming guys’ just want to have sex with her and that’s it, I can’t speak for every guy but me personally isn’t that way , if I have sex with a girl , I want to see her again and again hoping her and I build an amazing connection and chemistry with each other and possibly end up together in a relationship. but unfortunately I am meeting girls’ that are just telling me things I want to hear the same way disrespectful guys’ did to girl’s so to find an actual respectful girl is a lot harder to find these days. I know they are still out there but harder to find sadly

What I found was that a lot of women in their late 30s through their 40s coming off a failed LTR are going through a ho phase. Stay off dating apps and you can avoid them.

I live in Ireland. Here women are horrific to men and foreigners always complain. This is normal here.

there's a show called take me out. The irish version every comment is talking about how horrific the women are. One comment claimed to be a lesbain and thet they preferred the men. The irish version is horrific.

I personally don't see it were I am from. I guess there could be some factors as to why though. Where I live there is almost like a culture when it comes do dating. The guys are typically gentlemanly and the girls swoon over all over that and by default have respect for the guys that respect them.

I guess a lot of that could be from being in a more rural area where certain ways of life tend to stick around. I am not saying every person is going to automatically be caring and respectful, just that perhaps it is a bit more ingrained as a way to act.

Part of it might be your age. I'd imagine many single women in their 40s probably got divorced, and many of them don't want to go through that pain again, so they are trying to avoid commitment. I will say that I see a strong "fuck all men" attitude in a lot of women's spaces these days. For whatever reason our culture is becoming a lot more man vs women. Personally, I think that's dumb. I'll make jokes sometimes, but that's it.

Yeah. Men are doing it and have been doing it for years so some women started doing the same because anything else just results in them being heartbroken, and some women stopped dating and talking to guys completely because they got so hurt and or/don’t see a point in todays type of ”dating”.

Yea it seems like trust and respect is on it’s way out the window between guys’ and girls’ today , lately it seems I am having better luck with younger girls over girls’ my age , so I am now kind of leaning to finding a younger girl to be in a relationship with mainly because it seems that’s who I am getting more attention from. Not that age is really that important to me , chemistry and connection and attraction is what’s important to me , but it seems I am probably better off with a younger girl that hasn’t experienced many bad relationships with guys’ her age. It’s just crazy to me on how much society has changed since I was younger and dating. Younger girls’ that showed interest in me , said they loved how respectful and kind and fun I am to be around compared to guys’ her age that are just thinking with their dicks mainly, that treat girls’ like shit for the most part. I went to a concert Friday night with my son and his friends’ and I felt like I was this pimp all of a sudden lol younger girls’ were grabbing me to dance with them and talk with them , even though I felt like this old man , it was nice receiving all that attention from beautiful younger girls’ that were flirting with me big time , even my son and his friends’ were like you go man , you still got it 😂 I was cracking up and having a great time , something I needed after the shit I been going through in life.
