When a woman stares...what does it mean?

Ok, so I work at an airport and often find myself walking through the terminal building where the passengers are before and after flights.

I wouldn't call it common but it's not rare either, sometimes I will catch a woman staring at me. And I mean STARING, not looking in my general direction, not staring off into space, staring at me.

I've been told I'm not bad looking by a few people, my question is are these women checking me out or something?

Alright well there's a good chance they're checking you out if they're seriously "staring" as you say and not just looking in your general direction, etc. Logically speaking, people look at what they're attracted to and just beauty in general, and as such people will linger on something that appeals to them. The same even goes for babies actually, studies show that they'll hold their gaze longer on pictures of attractive faces than they do on pictures of unattractive or average faces. So in other words, people are naturally somewhat intoxicated on the ideal of beauty.

Anyhow, if you are good-looking or attractive in some way then yes, it's highly likely that they're checking you out and find you attractive. There's no reason for a person's stare to linger on something that does nothing for them, unless it's highly unusual or rare and thus, piques their interest in that sense. But since you're just a normal guy who doesn't have a third ear or anything like that, that option can most likely be ruled out.

However, checking someone out and actually staring though are two different levels of their own imo. Lots of people get checked out all the time, but it takes a truly unique (and often times downright stunning or handsome) individual to command a stare. I'd be willing to wager that you're probably better looking than you're aware of and walk with a certain confidence or conviction to your step. Like I know that if I'm genuinely staring at an individual, I'm more-so just admiring their looks than anything and appreciating the beauty that can sometimes be found in people, (but most often is found in nature and some works of architecture) and not so much actually "checking them out." Then again though, for a lot women staring does equate "he is so hot" so I'm just speaking from personal perspective. And this answer is a lot longer than I intended haha, but to summarize: while the airport isn't the most interesting place in the world, yes, you have probably caught their eye and they think you're hot.

It could be girls checking you out just something pretty to look or they might be thinking you're some sort of weirdo starring at them!

Checking you out? Yes. Maybe its the airport and everybody stares at everybody? Yes. Don't forget that you wear a uniform at an airport. Women love men in uniform.
