I've met some who are, and they usurp their massive size over others to secure their dominance. It's quite annoying.

But others really just want to look good. Though is that an insecure tendency or a proud one?

Some people sure. Many people hide their insecurity behind many things. Though some use it to overcome their insecurity, and some just like to be healthy, and or enjoy it as a hobby

Some are, some aren't. Many of them have body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), which is kind of similar to anorexia. Anorexic people tend to view themselves as "too fat" no matter how skinny they are and they obsess over losing more weight. Bodybuilders with BDD are the opposite, in that no matter how big they are they always see themselves as too small and obsess over being bigger. It's a serious mental health condition.

I’ve never met a body builder but I’ve known some gym rats who lift tons of weight all the time and are huge. They are good normal people who just happen to have a hobby to which they are unusually dedicated.

I'm insecure as fuck and I'm a bodybuilder.

But overall no. I know plenty of bodybuilders who are the most laidback non-judgmental people out there.

I see a lot of douchy guys who are very out of shape.

Some people just like building muscle. I work out but I wouldn't say I'm a body builder. I have some muscle though.
