Trending & News My girlfriend had her second shot a week ago. She works in the hospital.
Small bruising mark on the spot of the shot, but other than that she feels fine.
The vaccine is protein based, to motivate the body to produce the antibodies. Not based on an actual weakened corona strand, so no fear to get corona from it.
Side effect numbers are low too, less that 1%. The protein versions are usually safer a bet.
I had mine this week. My arm was sore for a day but that was it. Maybe a little more tired than usual but it could be due to not eating much. Now the stupid government wants to mix the vaccines cause they were in a hurry to get rid of all the stock of the Pfizer vaccine without realising that would mean there won’t be enough for everyone to have the second one. I’m so tired of this government honestly I just want everything to be back to normal asap.
No :( and since I’m fairly young and healthy looks like I won’t be getting my first dose until the autumn time... no travelling no nothing for me lol.
Hopefully sooner than you think.
Yes, received my 1st injection yesterday, and my wife has an appointment for today. We are both in the 1B category. I haven't had any side effects as of yet, not even any arm pain.
I think if the vaccine is effective, w/o any major side affects then more people need to get it to help us overcome this epidemic.
Hey! I got the first one the other day too.
I've had a bit of arm pain these last few days but apart from that I've been fine.
Apparently the side affects from the 2nd one can be stronger, so definitely watch out for that but fingers crossed everything is still fine :)

Nope hubby got his 2 shots. Felt sick for 4 days afterwards each time had body aches, nausea, dizzy spells, headaches, fevers.
That's quite normal. I always feel like that whenever I take a new vaccine.
Not yet, I’m way down on the priority list. I’ll be first in line to get it when it does become available to me though.
Aww you’re so lucky! All my friends in healthcare have had their first/second doses, it’s great to see it being rolled out even if it’ll be another few months before I can get it 😂
Exactly. I’ve heard after the second dose especially that there are side effects but so far, they don’t seem to be any different to the side effects I had when I got the flu vaccine back in December. I’d take a day in bed with a headache and sore muscles over a lifetime of dealing with Covid issues for sure!
actually i thought it was the opposite way round... the first one knocks you for six like it did with me and almost all my colleagues who had it at the same time and the second one is almost un noticable as its just a top up... time will tell and ofcourse many had the American pfizer vaccine rather than the British one we all had... anyway thats the exact question we all asked ourselves... side effects or risk of being laid up in hospital on a ventilator or killing family members or friends... i can see why people get scared but its an easy choice really
Oh wow, it seems to be the opposite way around in Ireland so far 😂 Either way, like you said, it beats death or spreading to more vulnerable family members. It really is a simple choice at the end if the day.
That’s a good thing then, I’m almost hoping I do have those side effects once I get it to show it is working 😂
I’m booked in for Wednesday.
I’m classed as extremely vulnerable- I either take it or spend the rest of my life indoors. People opposing it for fear of health or thinking Covid is fake are frankly mentally challenged.
I don't need the vaccine. In my opinion, there's no need to take it. For instance, every time I took the flu shot, I got the flu. I haven't taken the flu shot in a few years and I haven't gotten the flu since.
And, people are rushing to take this vaccine when they haven't perfected it yet and you think I want to take it when people are dying from it? No thank you. I'm better off never taking it and ain't no one going to make me.
I am still hearing negative thing about shot. I have talk to a lot medical Dr. it is still not safe. People has take the shots has die 1 to 3 days. They get the shot and when they have the virus. It is not 100% that great. They do not tell them public the truth of how many people’s has die. Think about please. Stay safe.
Well, I have a few friends who took the vaccine a few weeks ago and they're still alive and well.
@PhilEvans I just have 3 pass away from the shot 2 days later. Please that to me.
@Max1000AD Going to call bullshit on that. Deaths from vaccines have to be reported and are being published regularly. The ONLY cluster so far reported was one group in Denmark in a group of particularly frail elderly.
Not planning on ever taking it. Not trusting of a vaccine that was rushed in less than a year with no long term studies on side effects. Another reason is why is it removed from the vaccination compensation plan for injuries. That should tell you it's not eready for the general public consumption. I wouldn't take it for $10 million. Sorry but don't trust the government on this one.
No I haven't yet and I am pretty sure it's going to be a long while yet until I finally do...
Same here, unfortunately.
Look here https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04368728
That is a clinical trial on the Pfizer vaccine...
... estimated Study Completion Date is on January 31st 2023...
No, and never will. Any of the vaccines out there couldn't have possibly been developed properly, by any stretch of the imagination. And developing a proper one would take too much time for it to still be relevant, by then we'd all either be completely done with it, or dead.
Australia.
It's being rolled out at the end of this month and I will be eligible for it in March due to an autoimmune disorder.
No, but when it becomes more available I will. I work from home so not a frontline worker.
You want it, you take it.
Try to force it on to me, I will kill the person holding the needle, then the politicians who sent him/her.
I want to take it but I still have to wait and apparently the waiting list is looooong. don’t worry they won’t make it mandatory.
Yes, I would still take the vaccine anyways. I truly believe and have faith in science, scientists and medicine these days. Things evolved a lot during the past few years and will continue evolving. I don't spend my time or energy reading conspiracy theories and I'm not sure if you have enough knowledge to say those things if you're not a virologist or a scientist.
Yes, and it gave me radioactive powers. I can communicate with beasts and move small objects with my mind!
Not yet. If I take it will be only in summer or by the end of this year.
Yes! I got my first one yesterday, waiting for my second now.
Feel fine and had no issues other than a tiny bit of arm pain but that's normal :)
I wish, but since the EU is a fucking mess, those retards can get enough vaccines and we can't vaccinate anyone else than the elderly
The EU have really fucked up over Covid. Poor Italy.
@kingofthellamas That's because they don't let us manage things our way. Every member has to think about the EU before its own safety. If it hurts the market, if it limits movement inside the EU, it's hard to put it on. We also can't really choose which vaccine we get. We'll only get what the EU allows, which excluded the russian vaccine for example, until recently.
Unlike what many people say, the EU doesn't care much about the people, it's just about politics and money. Nothing surprising I'd say.
I hear you. I'm British. Voted Brexit. Best vote of my life.
@kingofthellamas And you know what's fun? You'll get a french vaccine soon, while us french won't get anything because our government refused it, because it was not the vaccine chosen for the EU.
I'm actually a bit embarrassed about that. That seems really harsh
@kingofthellamas Imagine that, they spent months trying to convince us that the UK was going to fall because they left. And when the first big crisis arrive, boom, you're doing better than us.
I think that really depends on the metric you choose. Our death rate and hospital rate is huge. Our economy has been trashed.
Nah I'm trying to get pregnant so I'm not risking taking the vaccine
@Shamalien yeah the government loves to lie. I honestly don't know why anyone trust this vaccine when it's only been out for such a short time.
@Shamalien But apparently skipping out on education causes paranoia and delusions...
@PhilEvans such as?
I will most likely get, but only after the first wave of test subjects pass the trial phase. Now they have a new vaccine that requires one shot. So I’m waiting until it’s safe.
For our age group in Belgium it will be possible in June/July.
had the first one two weeks ago. due to my job i was able to jump the queue.
I haven’t and really want to take it but the process is really slow. Even my grandma with 82y. o. hasn’t take it yet.
It's not available to the general public where I am yet. Once it is, I'll be getting it
Not yet, but I'm planning on taking it, later on this year
As a healthcare worker, I've already had the first injection, and I am having the second one on Feb 14th. I wish everyone could have both of them beginning tomorrow.
Not yet because I'm not high risk and I don't have any preexisting conditions. I'm actually curious to see if there's going to be a difference between the available vaccinations.
I don’t trust it enough yet so until I know more about it I won’t be taking it
They're still not available for us nobodies.
they are too slow.
It's a scam
@SjE78 flu kills people too. quite a lot too actually. that doesn't mean everyone has to take a flu vaccine. that's the scam about it. it's meant for the elderly and sickly like every previous flu type vaccine. not "for everyone". it won't very likely harm you but it's not necessary either. that's the "scam" bout it, cause they get rich off peoples ignorance.
@genericname85 the fact that the virus is real and yes it has been highly politicized and used to introduce a fair amount of attacks on others and control however... I have known people who had no prior health issues and yet contracted the virus and after a very dangerous experience some who did survive found they had life threatening health conditions after recovering... those who didn't pull through died at home or in hospital suffering...
I agree the wealthy and the politicians seem to get richer from it, but that doesn't mean it's any scam or fake... the virus is definitely real...
and i've lost good friends cos of it...
as for polio and much of the older virus' the reason why they aren't a thing these days is cos of vaccines... but i can understand the need to not forget that flu like Covid can mutate a lot... Covid though the reason why it is more of a concern is cos it has mutated and is far more aggressive in doing so... despite it having such a short half life.. it is that time during the infection stage that makes it worse...
and i agree people should have a choice... but how many people have shown common sense in distancing themselves even if they contracted it...
@SjE78 good friend of mine almost died to the flu in ER just a few years ago. he was also young and perfectly healthy otherwise. i'm generally not "that" easily scared by death, that it disables my rational thinking ability, so i personally do make a risk/benefit analysis for every vaccine and for me personally, right now it makes no sense.
that will probably change as i get to my 60s and 70s, cause then the time i have left to live is small, which reduces the chance of getting a vaccine side effect in the time i have left. with younger age, that is exactly opposite.
the problem in my country right now that i'm really scared about is that there's a sort of vaccine nazi culture growing and i fear the "free choice" will be gone soon, which i find bad.
@SjE78
i would never wanna take anyones right to choose freely for or against a vaccine. after all everyone has to do their own risk/benefit analysis and that won't have the same result for every single vaccine... the only time where i'd deny a vaccine for someone, is: if there's a shortage and there's a risk group of people that desparately need it.
"and i agree people should have a choice... but how many people have shown common sense in distancing themselves even if they contracted it..." acutally quite a lot. google even published anonymous people movement data and showed that peoples mobility signifiantly went down even before the media hype was around and government got into it. people are quite sane but well i hate to use that word:
hiding that and making you feel like you can't trust the people around you is actually part of the conspiracy, that is definitely going on. truth isn't black and white. covid is not a hoax but government and media are also not telling the entire truth... they pulled that google publication back cause they don't want you to feel like things are going right. they want you to mentally break in despair. cause that will likely make you buy the vaccine. and guess what: that won't help you anyway. the next version is lready around. the panic won't stop unless we stop panicing...
@SjE78 and please consider this, which is genuine medical advice that you have to consider in case if your doctor doesn't tell you that: if you do carry an infection and you're presymptomatic or if you catch an infection shortly after you got the vaccine, your chances of dying are actually quite good.
Not yet I have to wait three months being had the virus.
I will no take it here
I will not take it there
I will not take it anywhere
No, but I hope it will be possible soon.
Me too!
Good, the more people get it the better! :)
Agree.
I have not had the vaccine for covid. I doubt I will get it. It is too new for me. I have never had the flu shot either.
Yes i did and it slam me for 3 days then on 4th day i felt better. I am about to tske 2nd shot.
Nothing here yet. From what I hear probably not till in the fall.

It was nothing 😏
As a military member, it will be mandatory as soon as it is federally approved. So I got it now by volunteer to get it out of the way sooner.
I did. Get my second one next week.
That's great!
What, so bill gates and the lizard people can microchip me, track me with 5g, and shoot me with jewish space lasers? No thanks.
jk.
No but I will as soon as I can.
Me too. I can't wait to get vaccinated but the process is really slow.
Yeah. Here in Czech they say that people my age could be vaccinated in summer.
I have not because I haven't gotten the chance yet
Me neither but hopefully soon.
Yeah, hopefully
No I got covid instead 😭
awwww I’m sorry. hope you’re fully recovered now.
Thank you
I did. I got my 2nd dose last week.
Never taken it let the order at risk people take it
I had it in Nov, so I have Antibodies build up. I'm waiting to see if anything better comes along
No, fuck the vaccine.
Not yet. I'm waiting my turn
No, but I pray for those who have.
No and won't unless it becomes mandatory
They legally can't make it mandatory as medical decisions aren't the government's to make
Yes, I've had both 1st and 2nd doses.
Nope.
Won't take it unless forced.
Yes 1st dose
That's great!!
First shot
Congrats!
Thank you, should get second next week
Not taking it no matter what 🖕
No, and I never will.
nope. won't take it either. #noantivaxxer
Yep, had mine last week
Yeah
So lucky!
I'm currently in Portugal and even my grandma hasn't been vaccinated yet.
No little robots or microchips please
I have not, and I will not!
No I am to afraid of it.
God Bless
I don't need it already got infected
You can become infected again and it's recommended to still get the vaccine even if you've had covid
No. It's not yet known exactly how long the vaccine lasts and if a booster shot will be needed, but so far it looks like the vaccine is providing long term immunity
Yeah me too. It's been a very stressful 11 months here
