Yes, I was able to quit and get healthier!
No, I haven't been able to kick that bad habit 😞

I gave up alcohol over 20 years ago. I was not an alcoholic. I was unemployed and not drinking anymore meant it was one less thing I had to spend money on. I was unemployed for a year but when I went back to work I decided to just give it up for good.
That is still great! I rarely drink but definitely something I could give up with no problem. I maybe have one or two glasses of wine per week.
Glad you gave it up successfully. Have a great weekend friend!
I no longer drink 5 days a week, I will on occasion still drink but I control it.
I do not take drugs anymore , I smoke joints (some argue that is taking drugs) and sadly cigarettes - the latter I'm working on quitting.
I've stopped binge eating - sadly that habit got replaced by another bad habit, also a working progress.
But I think the worst habit I've managed to change is the way I speak to and think of myself.
Thanks for the opinion. Great to hear you are making progress! Like anything, just takes some time and dedication.
How did you ma age to stop binge eating?
It’s not really a health concern more than the fear it’ll shift my teeth over a period of time but when I get extremely stressed, I suck my middle and ring finger. Something I did when I was young. It doesn’t happen often and I can do weeks without doing it. But the moment my stress level is high, I know because I naturally do it.
yes I have...
drinking Coca~Cola on the daily was the worst habit I've ever had since childhood and teenage days
but I did stop doing that during my early 20's and ever since, I do have it in occasion only (like a BBQ party for example) or just during the weekends and no more than a smaller bottle, lol
how about Pepsi…
@Blackcupcake I've only tried a little sip of it... and that was enough
was it from a can
@Blackcupcake that’s avocadorable
@PrettyPriya the can…?🤣
@Blackcupcake that Nathan likes Pepsi
@PrettyPriya ahhh yeah… but he’s too shy to admit it
cans are definitely the last thing I would want to try

Haven’t had McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King in a decade. Stopped drinking alcohol 2 years ago. No maryjane in about 10 years. But it’s just a start of building a life without the necessity of substances. Doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them, but I feel like they are better as small rewards rather then everyday crutches.
That is great to hear and well done!
Yes! Cigarettes was the first, what a fool I was. I'm so glad it's so far behind me. I quit eating meat about a decade now. I quit drinking soft drinks. Only time I do drink any is with rum. I also quit being so angry. I still do from Time to time, but that's normal. Latest one I've quit is dairy products.
Wow! That is great that you quit all those habits. Good on you.
I really never had a big vice or anything. I will say I cut way back on sweets, which I liked. I keep in good shape and I am fit, but if there is one thing that I improved on greatly it was cutting sweets down.
I still allow myself a treat once a week. Shhh, don't tell anyone.
Yes - key is to aim to make your new habit sustainable MOST days, not all. Moderation once a month is fine if you want to have a pizza once a month, or a sugary chocolate bar once a month - no problem. But most weeks should be eating healthy with half your diet as veggies and fruits. 1/6 100% whole grains - and 1/3 meats.
For the moment I've not had an alcoholic drink for two weeks, I'm trying to quit.
It's easier than I thought - at least for now - and I'm doing well, but sometimes my mother makes fun of me and teases me because I won't be drinking grappa with her.
Yes I've cut sugar down tremendously. I used to eat like 3-4 chocolate bars a day sometimes more. I would binge eat and sometimes skip meals and eat sugar
Anyways now I'm eating more meat fish vegetables and fruit and now I will just have a sweet treat, a small one every few days
That is great! I do the same to be honest. I have some sweets once in a while as a treat for myself. I love ice cream. So, once a week I indulge a bit. Thanks for the opinion and have a great weekend!
@PrettyPriya what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
@nawtee_me By far, mint with chocolate chips!
I used to eat ice cream more than 15 times a week. I LOVE great ice cream. Now I eat it almost zero.
I also quit soda, milk (I used to drink one gallon per day), fried food, all food made from pigs, and most foods with sugar in them. I eat all kinds of salads a lot, even though I usually don't like them.
I had smoked for 10.5 years since I had just turned 29 until I was 39.5 and quit around 11 AM on Monday 24 JUN 2002.
That's amazing!
I've quit smoking, just over 3 weeks without a puff, so far so good.
Now if I can just drop a cup size I'll be happy..
Congrats on that! Keep it up!
Thank you!
I managed to stop staying up after mignight. The payoff is being well rested as if it's Sunday. It feels great.
There is something I need to get better at. I am always up late. Thanks for the opinion and have a great weekend!
Thank you, you too!
I'm addicted to GAG. I have been trying to kick this habit for years now. I just can't seem to stay away though.
That’s not the worst habit. 🙂
Yes, I quit smoking after being an on and off smoker since I was 16 years old. It's been about 7 years now.
Wow, that is great and a long time without. Congrats, not an easy thing to do.
Thanks. You can do anything if you put your mind do it. Just a question of priorities.
I've never had any bad health habits since I eat "unhealthy" foods in moderation when I do eat them. I've cut back on red meat but haven't quit, and don't intend to.
I quit smoking cigarettes and vaping completely cold Turkey 3 years ago
NIce, that is a long time to be free of smoking. Well done.
I was successful with one but need to pick up a good habit to make it better
That is good that you were successful. Thanks for the opinion and have a great weekend.
I stopped smoking, and that was long time ago. I do get cravings every now and then but I have been able to stay away from smoking completely.
That is great that you quit and stayed that way. 👍
I did stop eating chips at some point but then I went back on it when my sister kept bringing boxes full of them and I needed a snack for my lunch 🫠
I don’t smoke and I’m not addicted to drinking. I do need to stop eating junk food
Junk food is one that is common. Even I am guilty on occasion.
Yes 😭
I've started cutting down on my drinking. Makes it harder to sleep, but oh well.
Yes, I quit smoking 15 years ago and still can't believe I was able to do it. Huge accomplishment in my life!
That is huge! Congrats! That is quite the accomplishment and such a great change for your health 🙂
None yet.
my doctor said no spicy food … but it’s so hard…I pay the price when I cheat.
Nope. Keep saying I’m gonna quit nicotine, keep saying I’m gonna eat healthier. Have yet to stop either lol
When I was 15-16 years old, I would cut myself. But after treatment and therapy, I was finally able to kick that habit. I've since recovered and most of the scars I got have healed now 😇
I quit alcohol. I quit eating (processed) meat. I sort of quit drinking coffee, but I drink it now and then, especially when I’m enraged. I quit my habit of not praying.
quit
smoking
drinking
tea
coffee
fizzy drinks
salt
Wow! That is great! I'm so happy to see all the responses where people have done so well. Thanks for the opinion!
Sex for a while it was to addictive, but as usual it’s to habit forming to give up.
I had a 3.5pack a day habit on cigarettes for 10 years then stop
That is great that you were able to quit for good. Thanks for the opinion!
For a long time I had completely given up on nail biting. I have noticed that over the past 6 months, the habit is coming back. I hate it.
I stopped smoking and im once more losing some weight
Sugar and alcohol. It's not gone completely but I have a far healthier relationship with it than I did
Stopped smoking about twenty years ago. I had smoked for about thirty years and was up to two packs a day.
Yes. I didn't snort any line since more than three years and opportunities were there.
I gave up soda right before starting cancer treatment and have never had any since.
No, I'm actually hoping to shorten my life span...
I have had bad habits that I kicked. And I will continue to kick more
HELL YEAH ı did it lmao imagine being addicted to something like duh man it's too weak
I am still trying to figure out how to cultivate self control.
I had a habit of asking girls for anal sex on the very 1st date. Got too many F*** No from them that i eventually gave up asking on the 1st date
Yes but these days I started drinking a little alcohol and smoke cigs because I feel so bad. Nothing goes well in my life. :(
Yes, biting my nails.
Now you nibble on Gigi 🤣
Yes, her fingernails taste better. 😜
Have you quit a bad habit Priya?
I am not sure that I have had a bad health habit. I do not smoke. I rarely drink alcohol. I eat healthy and exercise. This comes mostly from living most of my life under the roof of a doctor and nurse as parents.
Well those are excellent habits :)
I do have an addiction to posting anon about if female celebs are pretty. Shhh, don't tell anyone. I might lose my mod status. 😐
Haha, I have done that too. 😜
🤯 so YOU are the other one. 🤣
Hehehe.
alcohol 3 years and counting
That’s awesome!!! Well done!
I quit smoking a couple of years ago.
No, but I am completely teetotal between gins.
I unfortunately am still plagued by the occasional whiskey between gins
@matchrestore I do still try to squeeze the odd whiskey in. Try to keep it quiet! Don't want to make the gin bottle feel unwanted!
I just tell my gin its neat... erm... drink it neat?
@matchrestore I like mine watered down a bit, and NOT with a second gin! LOL!
I have done it before, yes!
yes… I stopped replacing my meals with redbull🤣
If you find out let me know
Does biting your nails account
Yes I cut out using salt and sugar
That cheeseburger must have tasted disgusting
Biting my nails.
