How often and why do you get STI/STD tested by your general practitioner?

I don't even date and I'm not even sexually active, past or present. I'm just asking to be nosey or nosy about any germ freaks out there who are getting lucky or who are banging away, whether monogamous, you've had multiple new girlfriends or boyfriends (no not open relationships) and whether you believe in getting tested or not as a couple or why or why not or before dating, during dating, after dating.
I'm just curious. Is it only the wise and germ conscious? Owl 🦉🦉🦉🦉 hoot hoot hoot

Yes me and my long time partner have always gotten regular STD/STI testing in our relationship

I have a girlfriend/boyfriend and we don't believe in getting tested or even regular testing

I'm single

They get tested, not me.

Only germ freaks or germ conscious test at all, regardless of partner, or partner number up to, and so on.

I get tested every year... during general check-ups

also got tested before and after every -years long- relationship I had

why... ? because, while there are called sexually transmitted infections/diseases... it is not only sexually that you can get them... I do have piercings, and that involved wounds and blood, needles... I've also donated blood, I've also go to the dentist twice a year, I've had medical procedures, and there's a few other things here and there that, while they're very low risk or almost no risk at all... they're still there

Hepatitis C for example... that is something people could possibly catch from a bad manicure done at a cheaper place

If I'm regularly sexually active with a woman then I will get tested at least once or twice a year. If you're sexually active it's always good to get tested, and you want to do your part and show her that you're responsible and care about not just your well-being but hers too.

I started getting tested every time i got serious enough with a woman that sex seemed likely. Now it’s every time i get the urge. To be fair, that’s not often. But a good professional will usually insist on a full panel screening less than a month old. If she does right by me, i do right by her.
