Full skin exam at the dermatologist - would you wear a thong or full coverage underwear?

A question mainly for the girls:

Next week I have an appointment at the dermatologist for a full skin exam (a mole check of your complete body).
They have a machine that takes photos of your whole body that are analyzed via artificial intelligence.
After that the dermatologist will look at the relevant moles.
I was told the photos and the examination will take place while wearing underwear.

Now I’m wondering if it would make sense wearing a thong instead of full coverage underwear so more skin can be checked on the photos and by the dermatologist.

Or would that be inappropriate with the doctor and the nurses…?

What undies would you wear to this appointment?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, they won't care either way. If you go full coverage the dr will simply ask if it's ok to manipulate your underwear (primarily the back) to see those areas that are covered. As well as they will ask if you've seen / noticed any types of 'blemishes' in those areas that are covered. You will not need to be naked or have your private areas exposed for the screening (unless there is something specific that you request to be examined). Good luck!

I have had full body checks but never had my body photographed, just individual suspicious spots. I wore a gown which was moved to allow seeing my body but small areas at a time. And it did include checking my scrotum. And the doctor is a female.

My wife and I had full body skin checks last year. She wore her usual bra and psnties, I wore my boxers, no t-shirt.

You can wear whatever you're comfirtabke with. The dermatologist is used to lots of different clothing.

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. I wear thongs. My dr has seen me in them plenty of times. They have seen it all and won’t bad an eye.

Last time I did a full body skin check, they checked everywhere, which meant no underwear even. It wasn't a scanner machine though.
