How often to people actually go outside and get fresh air? Do you even see grass?

I'm about to go outside and mow my lawn before it rains again.

Yesterday I was helping my nephew establish his new garden. I water my mine daily and check on my tomato plants, basil, and pepper plants and tomatillot do llis, bee balm, lavender, and more...

If you have a home there's always something to do outdoors unless it's 100 degrees. Not that hot yet, but even when it IS, got to water the garden to keep it alive. Got to mow the lawn. Just do it early in the morning or late in the evening.

I open the door every morning to check the humidity and heat and to look at the sky. I see my neighbors walking their dogs, or have coffee with a neighbor on the regular and we talk about the news and stuff.

When I host supper club, the eaters are outside on my porch gossiping and drinking before dinner when it's temperate, which it still is right now.

And I enjoy seeing the ladybugs, big bumble bees, honeybees, dragonflies and hosts of interesting insects and birds: jays, cardinals, carolina chickadees, mockingbirds. There was an owl up in my bald cypress tree a few months ago! A first! HOOTING at dusk.

I love the outdoors.

Just keep looking for folks who DO go outside and do outdoors things. You'll find them. Sitting in a hermetically sealed house is not only unhealthy, it's boring. Get outdoors. Even if it's only the mornings or late evenings. It helps set your circadian rhythm clock which aids in a normal sleep cycle. You need to get about 20 minutes of sunlight IN YOUR EYES to set that sleep clock.

If you're never outside, it won't happen. A short walk is enough to do so. Plan on it.
