Have you ever suddenly remember dreams that occur 5-10-15 years ago?

Lately when it’s near bedtime i would suddenly remember dreams i had years ago and i also would remember which age i had those dreams. It’s kind of like something i recognized as a dream memory instantly, and it would be something i had no memories of until the moment i remembered it. Those dream memories recalls are usually from 10-15 years ago and i’m pretty intrigued by that. I just had a chat with my therapist and they said it’s not something that is common, but it’s not something concerning for my situation and diagnosis. I’m just wondering if any of you have experienced the same dream memories recall?

Almost no specifics, because most dream content vanishes in the minutes after waking up. But I remember having really annoying falling nightmares as a child.

That’s interesting, when i was a kid i had a lot of dreams where i fall down the stairs or top of a building, but i enjoyed it as i didn’t feel pain in my dreams and it wasn’t bloody or anything

Smashing into the ground was painful in the dreams and sometimes also in real life when I managed to fall out of the bed. 😵

I still remember, and can recall around 7000 dreams... all the way back to the age when I was just four or five years old

7000 is a lot, are those dreams something you could remember to list them all out if someone ask?

somewhere between 6000 and 7000 dreams yes... and I do dream a whole lot, sometimes multiple dreams per night, lol

but, let's just say if someone asks me about a "random situation" or says random words... "have you dream about this or that, with this or that" then yeah... I can remember a few or a lot of dreams about many things, lol

the reason why I am able to remember most of my dreams is because I used to write them all down as soon as I woke up and so I actually wrote down 3000+ of my earlier dreams... but I stopped doing that in my teen years and nowadays... I just remember them well enough

i see, that makes sense lol i tried to write down 3 of my dreams and kinda gave up on it

oh, I remember that... a lot of them writings ended up looking like a Russian doctor hand wrote those down...

i could relate to that, that is why i typed it out on my notes so i could read them lol

Not really. But there's this dream I had when I was 6 years old and I never forgot about that dream.
