Do any of your hobbies take a backseat to the holiday season, or do you find that you have a little bit more time to enjoy and share them with others?

Well yes indeed I they do. It is actually quite easy for me to take them on holiday. You see I mostly go on vacation to beach destinations. In fact I can't remember the last time I went on a vacation that there was not a beach. Well guess what my hobby is in the summer? Yup... the beach. I spend as much time as I can at the lake. I have a jet ski so I can get to some beaches that are not easily accessible by land. So not hard at all to take my hobby (beach time) to... the beach on vacation. 😆
No - I indulge in some hobbies more than others during the holidays, like baking - making fudge and marshmallows. Make decorations with my mother. Depending how good I've been making presents, or bad I've been doing, knitting/crocheting goes on high mode. Can relax on that bit this year.
When I had a family and my house, once mom didn't need me to help out, anymore, I'd run up to my room and start doing stuff with my records, or something and, after dinner, if there was nothing to do, I'd go up and continue until someone decided to start playing cards. If my drums were still there, I might go up and have a bash.
we still!! have a "Sports Bowl" every winter and during the holidays, with my cousins and now the little ones too (although not as often as it was 20 years ago)
my Uncles have retired from it lmfao... but they're still on the sidelines having fun with it

Usually less driving cause of traffic is so bad so less shopping and deliveries for our hobbies.
Also less time cause we do way more snuggles together.
I think snuggles can be a great hobby :-). I'm hoping for a few more this winter as well.
Before and during Christmas, I return to crocheting. I do small gifts for family members and decorations for the tree.

I don't take holidays, but I always find time for my hobbies.
Thanks for sharing, no tiny vacations for you and your significant other?
i'll have more time to enjoy them because i can do most here at home
No they dont. They just dont happen at the same time, Atving, Nascar, camping.
Winter camping can certainly be fun!
I have camped in the winter time when i was in Scouts, but I was a lot younger and I actually liked the cold then too.
Yes, I got to choose between going out more, or honouring financial, dietary and Christmas commitments. I have limited resources, so the second choice won out.
I try not to get too wrapped up in the holidays now that my kids are older. I still get to the gym except I have been sick this week and still have plenty of chores to do in my house and yard.
My gaming (solo or online) take the backseat for spending time with the people who are there in person.
holidays I actually get to play my hobby quite often with family members which is always a hoot!
Sadly, yes. I don’t even get to watch the shows I want to watch… 😒
Yes, but its due to the weather more than the holidays.
I like to balance everything.
