Are The Eagles underrated?

They were the biggest band in the world in the 70's but then they get talked about like they're some joke. Like in The Big Lebowski for instance but also other places I've heard negative sentiments towards them. I think part of it is that for instance in Switzerland only Hotel California gets played over and over on the radio and their other songs just get ignored. But there's also just prejudice involved I don't know.

Anyway I really like this band. The drummer just sings lead vocal for this song, today there's not a single group in the world where that would be possible. They're all so talented, it's not even comparable to today.

Personally I think they have at least 15 songs that could be played regularly on the radio I don't know why radio stations are so lazy and just reduce artists to their most famous song. It's a disservice to everyone

I just wanna hear your opinions on this and see if I'm crazy or if I have a point XD I'll still enjoy their music no matter what you say but I'm still interested.

I like The Eagles...

I was surprised to see The Eagles' Hotel California rated in the 90s of the top 100 songs by Amazon music. That song is a classic that deserves at least top 10.

Personally I'd prefer it if some of their other songs were recognized too rather than have hotel california highter on the list. Take it easy, One of these nights, Take it to the limit, Witchy Woman, Best of my love, Desperado, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin' Eyes, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Life in the fast lane

Phil Collins sang and played drums. Eagles were big in the 70s but couldn't hold led Zeppelins amp! Eagles were more than the sum of their parts and very talented songwriters and live performances. There were SO MANY great bands in the 70s maybe they get lost in the shuffle

They really did have a lot of hit records back in the day. I saw them perform once and they were really good. Joe Walsh and Don Henley had some success with their solo careers. I do not think they perform anymore. They must be pretty old bu now anyway.
