I know how to bookbind; I also collect rare books. I have a copy of Sir Walter Scott's poetical works from 1883, and an antique French novel that I am unsure of the publication date (not listed, so old).
I want to learn how to do batik and ikat dyeing and weaving techniques and also block printing. It can be so neat looking and no two pieces are exactly alike. I also want to learn how to do Kintsugi, Japanese pottery repair with gold. It's so unique and I love the message it conveys: That something broken can be repaired, and its brokenness is part of its beauty.
Okay that is A LOT of interesting hobbies and interests.
Ms. Potts I've become even more attracted to ya 😂
@HawkPerception I'm flattered; what a compliment! :D I see you like Boho fashion and home decor; what else are you interested in?
Nothing as interesting as yours if I had to be honest, but I love looking at facts about plants and gardening, although I don't garden as of yet.
I'm really into psychology and understanding which parts of the brain are responsible for each action we make and they affect people's paths they make in life.
I'm also into DIY campervan conversions and learning how to do all the bits of it, including the electrical and plumbing in them.
I love health related facts as well. Anytime I hear something like "xylitol is good for your teeth because of ___ and it's made up of ___" or "the best ratio for amino acids in protein shake is 2:1:1" I make a note of it and dive down the rabbit holes of all the intricacies.
As you already know, I love the idea of self sustained off grid houses and I've looked into that a ton as well
Love outdoor stuff like camping, hiking, kayaking...
Geology and which rocks are which, although I haven't dived too much into it, it's still super interesting to me. I love learning about the characteristics of each rock and gemstone.
Same with different types of woods and DIY wood projects.
But these aren't anything out of the ordinary 😂
Hmm. None or the ones on the list, though the trampoline activity was just recommended to me this morning. I’ve never tried it before.
The list was just for inspiration 😂 It was just to give you a better understanding of an uncommon hobby. But if I had to give examples of uncommon interests, one of mine is in Boho fashion and home decor.
There ya go. Atta girl.

I have an interest in kickboxing which, from my understanding, is uncommon for women. I could be wrong though.
Not incredibly uncommon. My cousin does it. My ex did it. My niece does it. Lots of girls are getting into it now
Iaido and collecting unusual things. My favorites have to be my Type 95 Japanese Katana, Kesha’s (Singer) Shoes and a handmade woodblock copy of the Japanese Painting “great wave off kanagawa“ from 1890
Exploring new places and trying new things is something I'm interested at
I want to try building a ship and putting it in a bottle.
I used to competitively Irish dance. And it was very rare to meet someone who also did it
