What do you think of $1 for every hour you play the game? How do you justify buying a game at the price you buy it at? And if you’re not a gamer, you won’t understand this so pls don’t attempt to.

B... b... b... but then how could companies like EA, and now especially Nintendo, rip us off?

I like the idea of $1/hr, but I also don't. It sounds great for a short game, but for every short game, there's a RDR2 or a GTAV, just to name a couple.

Plenty of people put hundreds of hours into a number of games, and even great AAA titles aren't worth hundreds of dollars.

I would suggest the alternative of $1/hr for however long it takes to complete a game's campaign, but there are plenty of games that don't have campaigns, either.

Sadly, I don't have an effective solution, but I do think $1/hr could end up backfiring catastrophically, depending on the game.

How long a game is played is pretty subjective don't you think?

I mean my favorite game is Stardew Valley which I own on console and mobile. It is a fairly priced even cheap game. I've played hundreds of hours and I'm still playing it as doing everything takes a while.

I think there are other factors other than how long a player plays the game for.

Omg I'd be bankrupt playing some games. Like I have almost 18k hours over the last 6 years in final fantasy 14. I have hundreds of hours in games like Stardew Valley and other casual games. I do need to cut back on the number of games I buy but when I attach to a game I'll play the heck out of it so that kind of pay scale wouldn't work for me.
